Random Thoughts VIII: The Ocho

So I heard the audio of this during my morning radio show and think it deserves a share. It had me laughing so hard I was crying.

It played on radio so think it would be safe but a few words while somewhat bad are probably borderline for work.

I'd love to see the breakdown for what forums cause people to get banned. I feel like the cave would do pretty well in that. I know if I ever get banned (unless it's Bawbie doing it for science) it'll be for something dumb I say in the cave
If I get banned it will be for being too awesome.

Has Pants moving here affected the attitude of the whole metropolitan area?

Doubt you'd get banned in the cave. What I've seen the times that I've ventured there, the mods would be forced to ban themselves more often than the rest if they started cracking down there.

My oldest just got chosen as his class' homecoming attendant, the girl picked is a FES that just arrived a week ago. His biggest concern was trying to figure out what to talk to her about to pass the time since they have to hang out together throughout the week. She's from SE Asia.

So I took a walk down to operations and on the TV I see Fox News has a split screen. One side showing the rioting going in in Charlotte and on the other side Joe Piscopo talking about it. I don't think I have seen or heard that name in years.

Well here is his chance to broaden his global horizons, and knock one country off his been there done that list.

I would like your post 99.9% of the time, but I can't joke when it's MY son. Especially since he's only 16
I imagine that's a pretty common thing. Back to your previous question, how's her English? Because if nothing else he could just talk to her about what life is like growing up where she's from. That'll also help him find other things they have in common and can talk about. Plus, everyone likes talking about themselves. The worst is when they actually can't really speak a language you know because then you can't really talk about anything

was thinking the same - probably quite a bit to talk about since they likely have pretty different backgrounds. Be neat to get her impressions of the US so far - how school, food, pop culture, landscape are different and such

I've got a friend who always made these comments but his kids were lots younger than the rest of the group, when his kids got older he kept shaking his head when these comments are made.
Even though we don't really know each other we've both posted enough to sort of know each other, and I figured you wouldn't get too mad.

Of course there is the universal "Language of Love".

I hit the grocery store the other day and withdrew $20 cash with my debit card on the purchase. For some reason I believe I tossed the cash in the sack with my food...no idea why I would have done that.

The cash is not in my wallet and I'm pretty sure I used that bag to collect turds when I cleaned out the litter box the other day. I aint digging it out of the trash can. The landfill just got a 20 dollar donation.
