KC has nice areas and trouble areas just like any city of size.

So the wedding was interesting. It was at a county park in Tampa county that I have been to but never really paid close attention to how we got there so I just plugged it into the GPS. Six miles of gravel roads later and we arrived. They had balloons marking which way to go but they were deflated. Get to where is at and park on the side of the road when up comes the ranger who tells us that we can't park there. So we moved to a nearly identical spot farther down.

Now the fun starts. As soon as the bridal party walked out after the ceremony half of the side we were on just got up and left. After we were dismissed we head to the car and they are all hanging around a truck drinking Busch Light. Apparently tailgating for a wedding is a thing. Oh when they kissed they cat called and one yelled "Get her (insert grooms name here)!".

We have been to weddings out in the country so we knew what to expect but it is always amusing. This one featured a teen who had broken from the country mold but elected to go the rapper route and a guy who has modeled himself after Willie from Duck Dynasty complete with the beard and bandana around his head. The rapper teen had some t shirt and jeans on but a flat billed hat on side ways and a gold chain. His talk was very rapsterish and at one point said "I didn't even get my kicks dirty". An honorable mention goes to the semi uninvited guests that just showed up to drink and party along with the groomsmen who put his ball cap on as soon as the ceremony was over and the guy who wore a cowboy hat made out of a Busch Light box to the reception. I would love to take Pantsy or one our other fashion aficionados to one of these just to watch their head explode.

Got early morning text from friend. He broke his ankle. Bummer for him but he wants to know if I can come help his wife with some yard stuff. Of course I haven't seen them all year (they be busy family couple people and all) but old reliable boring Boxster is probably at the top of their call list.

What I want to do today is bike the lakes and stop by the Italian car show at Lake Calhoun, then finish my own yard stuff. Will do that and probably still buzz out out to help, cause reliable.

CG friends moar fun then Boxster friends.

You really confused me with your first statement. I thought you were talking about KC not Kansas City. I had to read it again and think for a second. I need a nap now, thinking is hard.

Called friend. On my short list of things that should not be DIY was what my friend did, trim trees on a ladder with a chainsaw. Ladder took a dive and he pitched chainsaw but broke ankle landing. I have been a lifetime Mr. DIY kinda guy but this is dangerous stuff you pay professionals to do. Less chance of property damage and personal image. Preach it, Boxster!

Anyone know where I can get two hillside tickets for the San Jose State game? Apparently they aren't selling any single game hillsodes through the ticket office anymore

Can they not be resold? I need tickets for my boys this next weekend
I know you get "parent passes", but maybe it's just a single pass you take to each game rather than individual tickets that you could sell to someone? I've never seen any for sale.

I have 2 regular seats to sell that I'd like to get $50 out of if you'd be interested in such a thing.

I'll take em. I'll PM for details

Yo, Chaser, the running shoe inserts I ordered late Friday were just delivered by the U.S. Postal Service.

Still weird to see Postal Service delivery on Sundays.
