Random Thoughts VIII: The Ocho

Just got a spam email from Amazon for the All-New Echo Dot. I thought, "What the heck is the Echo Dot? And now there's an all new one?" So I clicked on it to figure out what it was. I learned it's to make it easier to add Alexa to every room. I don't know what Alexa is. Hoping she/it's a virtual stripper???
Isn't Alexa that thing that Alec Baldwin is talking to when he is playing ping pong in his mansion. If you follow any baseball game on the MLB site you know what I am talking about because it comes up pretty much every break.

A team just cancelled an away game against a town that a friend of ours is from. It was to be their homecoming. Wonder what they will do now?

Except I answered 'Open Plains' as my preferred geography. I guess you can't hit 100%
Given a choice, I'll take woods, all day, every day. It's why I live in the middle of 3 acres of woods (not old growth, sadly...the area was logged in the 30's so our oaks are "maybe" 80 years old). A couple are big enough that if the two of us try to reach around them our fingertips don't touch. I love the wildlife sheltered in there.

So Papa Lew and KC practice couples tree hugging.

:D

Showed up to daughters VB game last night just as 7th graders were shaking hands. I was very happy with myself. Sit down look at the court and notice that they decided to play another 7th grade game CRUD

Your comments on 7th grade volleyball bring back memories of 5th grade band concerts. There's very little to be said for a "concert" performed by kids who have probably been playing their instruments 25 minutes a week for 10 weeks...
But hey, it's your kids, and you go in support of their efforts, not their results. :)
