Got my CF "AHF" shirt on...it's kind of a faded cardinal color...I think they call it "aged".
Deviled eggs, quick breads, brownie bites made. Smokies wrapped, meat made for home-made hot pockets. Not much to do now until about 6 when the stuff goes in the oven & people start arriving.
Oh yeah...we made "launchers" for our marshmallows. Mine is a piece of pvc pipe wrapped in yellow ribbon, with a small Cy doll sitting astride it. It functions as a blow gun.
Lew's is also pvc pipe, with a double elbow bend. It's coupled to a mini compressor, and actually has a trigger on it. Sucker can accurately shoot a small marshmallow the length of the living room (about 40 feet). MOAR POWER!!!
KC wasn't sure if to like or give smiley, went with smiley because thoughts of marshmallow fights made me laugh. That sounds like quite the gun PapaLew built.

I did three miles this afternoon. Had two socks on the left because of a blister from Tuesday's run. Loosened the shoe but had to stop halfway cause I could feel it. Sure enough, take off my socks and my toe cut up the one next to it. Took off one sock, heel striked for a while and made it back. Bled through the sock. Oh shoot, I forgot to check the shoe. Need to get it in water if it did.
Have you ever tried putting cotton between your toes, to cut down on the overlap/pressure?
think we're making steak and cheesy potatoes tonight. Pretty sure the Bristol race is on so I might check into some of that. Dale Jr. is out for the year so I don't really GAF anymore.
I'll tell you what, I've found an excellent oblique workout. All this coughing (though it has definitely improved and I'm sleeping again) makes my sides hurt. They should be like steel in a couple more days.

this is only the 2nd time I've actually had this happen. First time was almost four years ago in crappy shoes before I'd ever really done any running and was wearing shoes too small. I was definitely trying to figure out today if I had anything I could use to shove in between. Taking off one sock seemed to help enough though - didn't feel anymore pain though I think the fact that the foot was all warmed up meant that it kept bleeding anyway.
oh yeah, on my Tuesday run I noticed one of the houses had a big Hawkeye flag. I had once run by after work one day (so like 5:30) and a scruffy looking woman in pajamas was outside and looked a bit...rough. So I wasn't surprised that this house contained Hawk fans.
But when I ran by today.......the flag is gone. Odd.

it had been fine! I got the blister cause my foot got soft from not running for a while. I actually really like the shoes once I loosened them enough to not get tingling. I looked at the wear tonight and almost nothing on the outsides (which is what wore previously) and more on the inside. Plus no ankle pain. I think I've finally got the right shoes but need to clip my nails if I'm wearing two socks.
I'm not even watching the game!
DH is making steaks on the grill. I should like, give him favors. Well, as long as he doesn't overcook my steak.
Yes, I decided to have a mixed drink before dinner. That hits preeeeeeeetttty fast.
hey where should we eat in Milwaukee next weekend? we've got dinner, breakfast, and maybe lunch. I've actually never been there other than the airport.
I'm assuming by "give him favors" you mean not act so weird that it turns him off when you get undressed tonight.
Done watching the game. Turned it to NASCAR in hopes of my driver making the chase. If he doesn't, this night could go down as one of the worst of the year sports wise
