You would totally be on your way to recovery if you had run some. Yup, pretty sure on that one.
I'm starting to think that's what got me in trouble!
Am hoping to do a couple miles today and see what the lungs think.
I have actually wheezed some the first 1/2 to 3/4 mile the last few runs. Only time this ever happened before was early in a couple early spring 5k races decades ago and it wasn't too bad and just ran through it. Didn't really paid it much attention till i was told I had borderline asthma. Never happened to me before at slow speed so this is new....likely just a product of old lungs I tell myself. They will adapt to this running thing again I tell myself.

I got a good dose of passive aggression from my neighbor this weekend. As I was outside getting ready to mow, I give him the small talk "You were starting to make me look bad, I figured I'd better clean this up."
I get, "Ha, yeah. Are you sure you don't need a baler? Several of the yards around here look like they could."
This clown practically scalps his yard all year long and it's looked yellow since late June. It's not like I was letting my lawn go to seed or anything.
Then, the next day, after I spent 5 hours pruning and breaking down the limbs on our large ash tree. I was just dripping with sweat and exhausted. He drives up and goes, "If you need to borrow my extension ladder to get that dead stuff a little higher up, let me know."
Back story: He wasn't the owner at the time, but I raked the leaves of the large maple that used to be in his yard for the past 17 years. I even paid to have it removed since it was touching my house and the previous owner wasn't going to do anything about it before she moved. I also helped remove and break down 2 trees that were struck down in his yard during a lightning storm several years ago. I easily did more yard work on that yard than the previous owner did.
Regardless, it's not wise to make snide comments to an exhausted Cooler while he's sporting a chainsaw and yard bags.

Running (hopefully) that day at Twin Cities 5k in St. Paul IF foot holds together for another dozen or so runs. I am guessing 50/50 on that.
I never really realized that the hotels in Ames are not in great locations if you want to do anything at the University or in town. Trying to choose between West Ames near Perfect Games or out by Theisens/El Azteca by Highway 30.
Ames Motor Lodge is within stumbling distance from the Tip Top
Same case in IC. Not a lot of options downtown (although they are building one now). Either out by the mall or near the River Landing area in CVL.
Ever have an interview where you question how it actually went? Maybe it is just because I just interviewed for an identical position a couple of weeks ago and the questions were not nearly as in depth then.
I thought maybe they could let you go through some of the planes, most of you really couldn't
see into them. Also thought they could use more signage around the aircraft so they would be easier to identify and learn stuff about. My favorite part was the film on the SR-71, but I've always thought it was one of the most amazing planes ever.
It had pretty high standards to live up to after seeing the WW1 museum in KC just a few weeks earlier.
I noticed that also, the whole thing is Nebraska centric which is ok it's in Nebraska but a little more of a broader view point wouldn't hurt anything and appeal to more people.
