Random Thoughts VIII: The Ocho

It would be really super cool if somebody brought me over something to eat. Probably unlikely so I guess I need to shower up and go forage for some food.
 
Took LittleWx for a bike ride on a trail that I have not been on in at least 15 years. Nice little pea gravel trail along a creek and then the Cedar River. Sadly it is rough in some spots with some larger gravel as well as soft spots. I also had a first...turning around due to gun shots. It is in a wooded area and there were shot gun shots that were getting progressively closer so I decided that was enough so it was a short ride of 6 miles.
 
Decided to take advantage of the last pool day. There about 1/2 and they have to clear the kiddie pool due to contamination. At least we could still use the big pool and the lazy river. And even with all the heated pool talk in that one thread by Angie, the pool was not exactly warm today.

We took the opportunity created by a lack of plans over a three day weekend to scrub down the floors, shampoo the carpet, tidy up the kitchen...fall cleaning, I suppose. It has been enlivened by a Z Nation season 2 marathon and kitten breaks...but it has been work. :)

Went to the SAC museum out by Omaha today, it was neat but not great. Nice kids area for them to do things and learn science stuff. Best part of the trip was stopping in Dunlap at the Dairy Sweet for pork tenderloin, really crispy fries, and a really thick chocolate shake. They won the tenderloin award back in 2005 and are still darn good, location moved now right on main street.

Haven't been to that museum in 14 years but didn't thought it was good then. Curious why you didn't like it.
