Good Places for a Beer and Burger

Seems like we are stuck going out to the same places over and over just because we know the food is good and not wanting a bad experience at someplace different.

Where are some good places in Des Moines to get a good burger and a few beers.

We have a place in Ankeny that has burgers and beer at a solid price. Pretty cool atmosphere inside. Its called Applebees


But no seriously... Kippy's in Elkhart used to have pretty solid burgers and cheap beers.

Was going to suggest this... Draught House 50 isn't bad in West Des Moines.

Is their service better than when it opened. We went there soon after it opened and ended up walking out because we could not get waited on.

Peanut butter bacon burger at Iowa Taproom is awesome. So is the Sriracha chicken sandwich.
