Late update : it was Coach McCarney, he was on the same flight as me sitting a couple seats away. I didn't talk to him, but I did get a good look at the giant (national championship?) ring on his right hand.

Was he flying back to Iowa? Is Matt Campbell's job in jeopardy?

If he was coming to CR I am assuming he is coming for FryFest as they are unveiling a statue of Hayden tomorrow. My guess he stays there but it would be great if he comes over to Ames on Saturday.

Our nearly five year old Golden (Male) has always been perfect. Our 10 month old Golden (Female) is a little ****. Still love her but man I hope she grows out of this.

Pet peeve of the day--coaches who do not schedule practices (or at least let us know) more than a week ahead. Getting kids where they need to go is hard enough to plan with notice. Tuesday was Gilbert-Polk City-Gilbert. Tonight is Gilbert-Clive-home to get younger kids to bed. I have no idea what next week's softball practice schedule is.
