Since I tend not to like a lot of the hyped things, watched a lot this way. Especially tennis, but lots of other sports too. My kids have no interest in the tape delay stuff so they have the online stuff hooked up on the TV.

Germany sweeps brazil 2-0 to win gold and beat the other Brazil team 2-0 to get to the gold medal match
Huh. When I gave up on Walsh Jennings/Ross for dead, they turned the corner and routed Brazil. Nice job.
In watching the beach volleyball games I've seen alot of balls get put over by "poke shots" ie. using fingers. I thought volleyball was about sending ball over via bump, set or spike methods. For the experts on here have these poke shots always been a part of the game?
Yes. Basically just putting the ball where they can't get to. Plus it's like a change up in baseball, make them think the heat is coming and rocked back and then drop it in front of them.
Is Adam Woodbury playing beach volleyball?
Moar drama. Already references going around about Lochtegate. Seems more like Law & Order: Olympics Unit. Matt Lauer is Lennie Briscoe, Costas as Jack McCoy, Dan Patrick as Arthur Branch. Feigen is probably swimming to international waters to get picked up by the US Olympic basketball yacht.

What a bizarre story. I love the "I was scheduled to fly out just a few hours earlier then my 3 buddies, because why I would I want to go on a transcontinental flight with 3 buddies when I could go by myself" part.
I'm a lot shocked that Lochte was the one out of the 4 of them that was smart enough to know he needed to get out of Dodge.
I saw that and tried to track it a bit. There's also a report that the gas station owner said the police confiscated his videos but he "looked at all of it before they took it and the four swimmers weren't on the video". Lots of stories flying round down there...
This is what makes lying about the story that much more incredible. In this day and age, there is always video.
