Old Faithful is pretty cool if you've never been there before, but my favorites have always been the mini geysers and fountains & thermal pools that are more off the beaten path. The variety in just the mineral deposits is pretty dang incredible. And the algae blooms:We did enjoy Yellowstone. Thanks for the recommendation to see Firehole Canyon Drive. We weren't able to swim there as there was a bit of a time crunch and there was no parking anywhere close to the swimming hole but the scenery was spectacular. We didn't see any bears but we did see 2 buffaloes fighting about 20 yards from our vehicle.
Also, I need to thank KC for recommending the Grand Prismatic Spring.
I've never seen a bear there either, but I've seen just about every other critter that resides there.
