I remember my commute from Eagan to Eden Praire. 494 in the morning and 62 in the afternoon. Now living in Dubuque, it's only a 8 minute commute and I can go home for lunch. It's awesome.

But you are living in Dubuque!

I keed (kinda). Before I settled in the Twin Cities I was trying to get a job in Dubuque cause CWW#1 was there. Lucky for me I didn't get that job or I might have been murdered in my sleep.*

* She did move here and did not murder me but only because she moved out after breaking up her bosses marriage. She was amoral and crazy.

Found an old Antiques Roadshow on PBS. It's from 2001, and they're using a graphic to say what the value is in 2016 after the appraiser gives the 2001 value.

If you go by the rates banks pay on checking and savings accounts that will only inflate the values at .01% a year or less.

So you mean the best kind of woman :jimlad: The more I live in this town, the more I like. Although that may be just because I'm closer to hometown, I like my job, and I actually have Saturdays and Sundays which will pay dividends in the fall. I am pretty pumped for this fall, since I can go to more than one ISU football game in a season and have been thinking about going to different stadiums.

Also I'm getting married this fall, and that is also very exciting.

Just found out that a family that moved in my hometown (35 minutes from where I am) has two boys with the same names as mine. My oldest is not a common name

Hopefully on a bye week... ;)

Don't start that nightmare. Had to listen to someone in the office rant about it for weeks last fall.

The biggest reason why we had it on the fall was because the summer is my fiancee's busy season for her job. So pretty much from mid May to the end of August was out.

Ooops....

I won't tell you about our "diehard Hawkeye" daughter who scheduled her wedding for the weekend of the ISU/UI game AT ISU...but "didn't realize it was that weekend"; we were planning on giving our tickets away to go to the wedding. One of her brothers clued her in...and we assured her we wouldn't miss her wedding. She then got married in late June (without telling us or inviting us to be there) and decided to have a reception/watch party on the original date at her in-law's house. Her in-laws, husband, and various family members, all diehard Hawkeyes. Let's see: give away our tickets and watch the game surrounded by people we don't know in a living room in the heart of Waterloo, none of whom recognize ISU is a real university with students and all...or use our tickets.

I won't tell you any of that because we are VERY bad parents. We used our tickets.

In retrospect, though...it might have been fun watching the game with them after all. It was the 2011 triple OT game.

*evil grin*

We got married a week before Christmas - had a helluva time finding a place for the reception with graduations & company Christmas parties. But that was the only time we could get all six of our kids there together. It's all good.

There will be plenty more football games. Enjoy your wedding!

Congrats! When and where is the bachelor party?

I would like to go Lambeau Field over Labor Day weekend to see Wisconsin vs LSU but tickets are pretty pricey at the moment, and they have gone down. Otherwise it may be in Ames for ISU vs UNI, although if that happens I would like to get SEZ tickets.

Trying to figure out if my post got deleted or if I accidentally did it myself...
