this sounds ominous.
Has been fixed. Just some tiny-ish battery that the guy switched out. I've seen the forecast for next week. Let's hope it cools down before RAGBRAI the week after.
Basically the jet stream is going to lift way north and there will be a nice big ridge of very hot and humid air. Highs especially by mid next week will easily be in the mid 90s and it looks like it will last at least a week to 10 days.

I basically cringe every time I get an email today. Blah.
I'm okay with the emails, but the next person to walk into my office may literally get their head ripped off. Especially if they're here to tell me there's something I'm supposed to do that isn't done yet.

For me it was the phone yesterday. This one client called/emailed me NINE times between 11 & 5...first to ask how to do something.
I can't fill out your .pdf online.
No, sir, you need to print it & fill it out to send in.
Well, my handwriting isn't good. Can't I fill it out online?
No, sir, not unless you have Adobe Pro and can convert the file.
Oh - I have that. I'll do that (without hanging up the phone...apparently he thinks I'm IT...boy, is HE confused!)
Sir, do you need me for this part?
Oh...no...bye!
(Two voice mails left while I was at lunch)
I can't get Adobe pro to save it as a different file...I just get garbage.
I'm sorry sir...sometimes that happens. Do you have Excel on your computer?
Yes.
I have the form in the Excel file that was used to make the .pdf; would you like me to send that to you via email?
Can you put THAT form on your website for me to download?
Ummmm, no.
Okay...here's my email.
I haven't received your email yet.
I sent it. Sometimes it takes a while for emails to reach hotmail destinations.
Okay.
I got your form. I sent it back to you. Did I fill it out correctly?
Yes.
Okay.
I saved the form to Word and I'm going to send it to [the company that is our go-between], but it's two pages now - can you fix it for me so that it's just one sheet?
No, not from here. Why did you save it to Word?
I like Word better than Excel.
You'll probably have an easier time working with it if you leave it in Excel because of the formatting & spacing & fonts &...
OK. I'll use Excel.
I emailed the form to you...did you get it? I have some questions...
Yes, I did. I responded to your questions in an email that is probably in your inbox now.
Oh, gosh - there it is! Thanks!
You're welcome.
All of this while I'm trying to concentrate on getting some reports done. AAARRRGGGHHH!
