Random Thoughts VIII: The Ocho

We're hoping to leave about 1:00 to get ahead of it. We'll see how that goes. We've had quite a few 4 hour car rides that would normally be about 2.5 hours.
Also, Mrs. Jcyclonee's cousin is staying with us and bringing up her 15-year-old daughter and the daughter's boyfriend. We've reluctantly decided that we like our 15-year-old's boyfriend but there is no way in he// that he'd be coming up to the cabin with us for the weekend. I guess, to each, their own.
No, never done with beltway construction. Never.
Although worst traffic jam I was in the summer was driving down to funeral couple Sundays ago. That single lane south of the cities on I-35 was KILLER. It was backed up for miles and miles and just crawling. No option after you got stuck in it then to just crawl along.
Inevitably, whenever I get stuck in one of those single lane traffic jams on 35 it is right when I have to go to the bathroom.No, never done with beltway construction. Never.

Going to probably die this weekend from boredom. At least new bike computer came as scheduled yesterday and the new deck side table and ottoman to match new chairs came also. Now if bike is done per shop promises then I'll be set to entertain myself this weekend. Everyone I know is doing family stuff so I'll be all Billy Idol again.
I could see for a day trip, but a weekend? I probably wouldn't let a BF of that age go along either.
it doesn't affect me much but I'm convinced that the DOT is never going to get the intersection of 494 and 169 done correctly. I don't know if there's not enough space and they don't want to claim eminent domain on Winter Park or if they're just playing a big joke on the metro area.
They are coming up for just one night but it still seems a little weird. Oh well. I like the cousin. She's one of the funniest people I know.
I thought I heard earlier this year the Vikings were looking at moving on from Winter Park some time soon in favor of a newer facility.
Speaking of road construction it has always seemed odd to me that hwy 77 is three lanes the entire way from MOA to Lakeville but the north bound is two lanes from 140th st to Hwy 13. It appears they are adding a lane in both directions this summer south of the bridge.
I do think I heard something about the Vikings moving to Eagan.
And how's South Carolina or are you still stuck on the tarmac?
So far so good. Family is working today so I am bumming around the house. The flight from ATL to Cola was packed to the brim, so boarding took a bit longer than expected. Guy in front of me thought if he just kept trying to ram his seat back into my knees that eventually they would give way and he could get that extra inch of recline.
It is really hot here so I think some pool time will be in order this afternoon, maybe even get rid of this Minnesota business tan.

Yeaaaaahhhhh....with the holiday weekend, doesn't look like I'll get it in time.
20th Class Reunion tonight. I'm more nervous than I expected to be. I enjoyed the 10th quite a bit, but none of my close friends are going this time.

Ummm. My original shipment showed up this morning.
So...back to defcon 4.
Although I'm kinda glad I found that Lego gif.
Just to make Chaser feel even worse, I had a shipment arrive today that wasn't estimated to arrive until Tuesday at the earliest.
