And I think you've got a case for breach of contract on that whole television show deal. Next time get it in writing.

I, the undersigned, hereby promise to provide services in the form of coitus in exchange for dominion over the TV remote for the evening of (Insert Date Here__________). Services will be provided within 24 hours of this date or remote privileges will be forfeit for the next 2 days.

Woo and Lawman don't have anything on this man.

Mine's been more of an ongoing summer thing. I'm in the middle of a stretch where that my co-manager is only working 2 out of 7 Fridays and 3 out of 7 Thursdays, as well as being out all next week. Care to guess who has to cover for him while he's out?

so I got back Monday and yesterday I asked my boss (she was out Monday) how things went and she's like surprisingly good. So I'm all hey you survived without me, I'm expendable now! And then asked about taking a few days this fall (our project is still taking lots of time so I'm trying to be kind) she's like oh yeah, that's fine. Two weeks is even ok, just not like, three months or something.

I took that to mean that she would cry real tears if I announced I were pregnant and due in like Nov or something.

So when are you going to break the news to her?

I should probably at least wait til next week or so when team boss gets back from her maternity leave. That would be the kind thing.

But nah, even though they got that one position hired (not starting for a couple months though), I need to wait til parts of this project are done and parts of my job disappear. Otherwise I gotta train someone how to do some of the **** I do now and that would be awful. Boss has been, well, boss this summer taking over on this project that terrible project manager was doing awful with. Apparently the meeting last week was the most productive we've had with vendor and I don't think it's in small part due to boss hammering them beforehand and preparing and then forcing them to stick to an agenda. She's totally taken over on this even though it wasn't supposed to be hers to manage. I think I mentioned that team boss was promoted and we had been trying to fill that before she went on leave but I'm wondering now if they'll consider my boss. She doesn't have the same level of industry experience but I think she could do it better than the people we interviewed.
