*** Official 2015-16 NBA Playoff Thread ***

Wow. Welcome to the 2016 playoffs. Best record of all time down 0-1.

Think they'll still pull it out but this alone should be enough to give us a real series with some of the world's best.

I can't believe you thought I was serious when I said that.

A fair amount of people on here and in the media thought the Thunder didn't have a chance.
I'd be surprised if this doesn't go 2-2, then it will get real physical.

Green will be playing tackle basketball ASAP.

Fire Frank Vogel, hire Nate Mcmillan? That's a downgrade, Mr. Bird.

Lateral move at best. And it doesn't fit Bird's edict for the team to play faster. Thoroughly confusing move, unless they plan on bringing in an offense-minded lead assistant. Jeff Hornacek, anyone?

Even then, couldn't you keep your very solid defensive head coach and bring in an offensive-minded assistant? I mean according to reports Vogel was basically begging to keep his job so doubt he would have refused that solution.

Not sure how they could be any more physical on Westbrook and he survives.

I think their point for that was to try to make him think twice before driving the lane because that's where he is so deadly, unfortunately for them, Russell still killed them in the paint and drew contact to make the line.

I'm not sure if all of the hits were intentional because I think some were just plays where Russell hustled all over the court and made a play on the ball when they weren't expecting it. But that foul from Bogut definitely appeared intentional, he barely made an effort to jump and he slammed his arm straight down on Russell.. suddenly that's a common play for a rebound according to Reggie.

Yeah, not much of this has made sense. Larry Bird supposedly wanted a new voice in the locker room and he wanted the team to play more uptempo. So he hires a holdover who's known for fielding teams that play tough defense and play at a deliberate pace on offense. Larry Legend has a pretty good history as a front office guy but this offseason has been baffling, and free agency hasn't even started yet.
