Every parent should be required to attend a youth sporting event where their child isn't playing so they can witness what a bunch of heavily-biased obnoxious parents shouting stupid **** sounds like.

For once we went to the college to work and didn't have to deal with stupid people.

Tell me about it!

I was once the Little League coach for a team from my small hometown in northeast Iowa. I had one of.my high school friends umpiring at home plate. We had a controversial call at home plate when my home team executed a squeeze bunt. One drunken parent from the opposing towns team yelled loudly that he was going to take care of that umpire and started down the stairs of the grandstand. He didn't make it down though as he was.met by my friend's father, who happened to be a former marine, who calmly informed him "no you will not".

My point, I guess, is that I wish we had "compliance linebackers" to handle obnoxious parents at youth sporting events. They ruin it for.everyone, especially the kids.

I got to see fans of college intramurals in action many times. My boyfriend reffed/umped for flag football, basketball and baseball. If I wanted to spend time with him, that was where it happened much of the time. At first I would just watch, but people would ask which team I was rooting for and I'd say neither - I'm with the ref/ump. Then they would spend the rest of the game telling me what an idiot he was. Fun times.

He taught me how to keep stats, so from then on I was able to tell anyone who asked that I was there to keep the stats.

What about siblings?

I've only been at a couple games where siblings get obnoxious. Parents win that battle in a landslide.

The debate...do I really want to do the whole school thing again and try to get my MBA? I did a practice thing for the GMAT last night and I forgot how much I hate tests like that.

Also I had someone that I work with tell me to apply for a job with them. Is CF time a negotiable item?
