To me, apples are apples. As in, I'll eat just about any kind.

The wife is very particular about her apples, and since she takes one to work with her every day for lunch, we're buying them often. I was doing the grocery shopping one day, and sure enough, I came home with the kind of apples. Needless to say, that's another chore I never have to do again.

pink lady are hit and miss for me. I used to only eat red delicious and that's probably why I didn't like apples too much. DH is a big granny smith fan.

Every parent should be required to attend a youth sporting event where their child isn't playing so they can witness what a bunch of heavily-biased obnoxious parents shouting stupid **** sounds like.

I wish someone would put an idea in the million dollar idea thread that I, and only I, could personally use to make a million dollars.

Put chances are I wouldn't be willing to take the risk to invest in said idea because I'm a scaredy cat when it comes to money.

Rob a bank, give me the money and then lay low for awhile. After 3-4 years, check back with me and I'll give you the money.

I promise.

I nominate boxster.

Tell me about it!

I was once the Little League coach for a team from my small hometown in northeast Iowa. I had one of.my high school friends umpiring at home plate. We had a controversial call at home plate when my home team executed a squeeze bunt. One drunken parent from the opposing towns team yelled loudly that he was going to take care of that umpire and started down the stairs of the grandstand. He didn't make it down though as he was.met by my friend's father, who happened to be a former marine, who calmly informed him "no you will not".

My point, I guess, is that I wish we had "compliance linebackers" to handle obnoxious parents at youth sporting events. They ruin it for.everyone, especially the kids.
