No if you got near the Post Master I'm pretty sure the PM would be post mortem.

Nah, just a little intimidation.

Mrs00 got carded when she was like 22, i think.

Husband got carded at the age of 33. Curse of the baby face.

Jumping back to this morning, my parents are doing the Vienna to Amsterdam cruise in August. Yep, I'm jealous. Many years ago, my mom was invited to be a chaperone for a European trip involving my old HS. (She was friends with the teacher heading it up) It was something like $800 for airfare and a whole week there (Germany, Paris, London), plus 2/3 of their meals. If I had the $800 to do that, I would have gone, too. (Young chaperone at around 26 or so)

I hate reviewers that write paragraphs of philosophical discussion in their comments on journal articles. I despise them. Just write me a list of bullet points and be done. It makes life much happier for the both of us.

I enjoy it more in job talks/interviews when I see people ask a question that takes so long to speak that no one remembers what it was by the end.
It's my biggest concern when I hit the interview process (assuming that something works out to get that far).

This year there is a lot of that purple stuff growing that's creeping into my yard. She had a for sale sign a few weeks ago and it is now down. Hopefully it is sold to someone that will exercise some reasonable amount of lawn care. I haven't noticed anyone move in or out but the furniture is gone from the back deck.

The purple is creeping Charlie, kill it NOW, hit it hard with 24D anything left hit it again. That stuff just keeps taking over everything.

pants, the new way was like holding the home button down or something.

DAMMIT they just cancelled kickball! Boo hiss! now we'll miss even more weeks because of vacation. We were already missing the playoffs. Well, maybe this pushes the 2nd week of playoffs to the week we are back now. Hmmm.

For some reason I don't think you're going to garner much sympathy, about missing kickball for going on vacation.

One of the most boring and monotonous things in the world is coding and sending invoices to accounts payable.

I've got about a billion of them right now. 096 3926 30145 65105 signature, over and over and over and over and over again.

I had a question like that a month or two ago at an interview. I was supposed to give a half hour talk, the hiring manager's manager talked for most of it. I did my half hour talk in about 10.

The final question in my PhD oral exam went that way. I had predicted the question, had an answer with a beautiful chart to organize it. My major professor asked it, the whole panel got going on it, and I just watched 10 or so minutes go by. I never did answer, because then it was time to leave.

You sure about that, BC? I don't remember LS doing that.

Not sure if it was common, but I remember watching him one time kick back 3-4 full shot glasses of cheap tequila. I remember because while it wouldn't have been uncommon for me to do that, it was uncommon for him.

get it made into a stamp. Someone at work had ours as a stamp. Still have to sign and fill out the specific dept cost center, but the first like 4 things were all filled out.
