hey I remember when that crash happened. Maureen was running just up the road from me. And actually, they have a 5k thing in her honor right on my old running route every year now. I ran it a couple years ago.

took a break for lunch, Erik can come shoot me too when he's done with KC. Did get all that stinking grass out of the one mulch area. Was super bad because grass seed washed into it last year. Got 10 plants planted and DH has been beating dirt out of the sod we dug. Not a super fun job. Not sure what the next few hours are - either more work on the island, planting more plants, or working on the area where the redbud is going and getting the matting and rocks back in.

Apparently one of the professors here had a student who plagiarized three or four pages of an article for one of their papers. And the article they plagiarized was actually one of the professor's articles.

There's a story going around, either urban legend or true, about a paper recycling until it reached the professor who originally wrote it as an undergrad.

The takeaway from this round: Any assignment with a take-home component will be plagiarized by about 1 in 5 students.
