Either Boxster found the stash of pop in his basement or he's watching Iron Man...

You know, I should probably say "thanks for the commiserations". I'm grateful I can come in and whine to sympathetic ears. My boss's reaction was "how much time is THAT going to make you miss?" Five years...five more to retirement. :)

Here's a funny for you all (not sure what the mods will accept, so be nice to me, no2):

There is a new commercial out for poptarts (I think)...peanut butter & jelly flavored. The theme is that Peanut Butter and Jelly have a baby poptart. I was kind of zoning it out while I was typing on here, so I had to listen to it closely the second time, because instead of one of them saying "she has your peanut butter", I heard them say "she has your *****, Mother".

:embarrassed:

Well, looks like that word for a male appendage is censored, so I'm safe. :)

KC. about your meniscus, I can share my experience but I'm sure every situation is different.

i injured my knee when my plant foot slipped ever so slightly kicking a soccer ball. I felt it right away but didn't think too much about it. It wasn't horribly painful but I couldn't get the swelling to go down. I asked about when in urgent care for something else and the doctor examined the injured knee He said they was a lot if drawering (front to back movement) so chances were a partial ACL tear. They asked me if I wanted an imobilizer. I assumed they wouldn't offer it unless it would help so I took it. When I got in to an orthopedist and he started by examining my uninsured knee I knew the other guy didn't know what he was doing. My other healthy knee had just as much drawering. He said it wasn't an ACL but rather a meniscus. He said as long as I showed improvement they wouldn't have to scope it. He said to get out of the I mobilizer because he wanted the knee strong but instead use a brace if necessary.

this injury was early April and the improvement was glacial. I didn't really see an improvement in the pain and swelling until July and even about a month ago I hadn't felt anything for about a month when out of nowhere I could feel it again for a day.

im glad I didn't have to have it scoped but I'm concerned that this is the new normal.

PI don't know how this will help you but I typed this long assed thing on mobile so I am going to post it. Good luck and keep the ibuprofen handy.

Thinking of meniscus and the chemistry definition (the curve of liquid where it meets the edge of a container) got me to thinking...am I the only RT regular with an actual sciencey degree? I mean, I know CG is anSci or something and is statistics...just thinking of how large the engineering/physics/chem/math departments are and I might be the only RT regular.

I have a Bachelor of Science...does that count?

Started out in a sciencey (chemical engineering) program. Ended up in business. I suspect that I'm not the only one that did this in here.

Yep, still going to London. Gonna see how things are from across the channel before deciding to cancel the Paris part of the trip. I called up the train company for my ride into Paris from London and they are willing to give a refund if I don't wanna go because of safety concerns. Though the person I was seeing over there has left the country because of the attacks so I don't know if I wanna go to France alone alone. So we'll see.
I'd go. It may be awhile before you get another chance to see the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Paris cougars...
I won't think less of you if you don't but this does seem like a good opportunity to get there.
