Hilton Madness

Yea, he never reads the Daily. He did forward me the email about break tickets he got today to see which ones we want. It included the entire schedule but did not have one mention of Hilton Madness or even include the time and date in the schedule.

Like I said...I assumed the targeting based on the time frame. It's interesting that they didn't email the students about it though, given the love ISU AD marketing has for blanket emails to faculty & staff. ;)

I follow MBB & ISU Athletics on FB; they've both been posting about it. I'm guessing the WBB have also been posting. I don't have twitter, but apparently the team members have mentioned it on twitter...probably the marketing team has as well.

I'm guessing autograph session are a major PITA for the team.

I never really understood the obsession with autographs anyway. "Nice to meet you! Let me write my name down on this piece of paper for you!" To each their own I guess.
I agree it is kinda silly but it would have been a cool piece of memorabilia. havent got an autograph in over 10 years but it would go well with my seneca fb and cael/ bobby douglas program. thats why i wanted to get an actually ball signed and not just a poster

Stick around afterwards and I bet you could grab some quick autographs.
I know some people do the same thing after games, too.

At 22, he doesn't use some of the social media much. He checks Facebook once a day to see if anything is up with "the old relatives." He has a twitter account he never uses. I don't know much about any of them, but I think maybe he uses Snap Chat (is that a thing?) and Instagram (also is that a thing?) more than the others. My kids never get a phone until they are 16 so maybe they don't have a clue about social media, I know their mother doesn't. But he faithfully checks his ISU email which is why I don't know why they didn't include it in their email.

I assumed the 8:00 pm time was to get it in the realm of midnight since Midnight Madness has been a thing for some basketball programs. Our version is kind of like going to "midnight" Mass at 7:00 pm Christmas Eve.:spinny:

"Midnight" is just a suggestion, don'tcha know? ;)

Based on your description and my observations around campus, your son may be an anomaly among many of his peers.

They did email us about it. I got one anyway

Yes I do. Suppose that could be the reason

I'm guessing that's how you're on their list. I get emails due to donor status, season ticket holder, and ISU employee status. They offer employees discounted tickets to certain games/events as a "thank you". For what, I'm not altogether sure!

They sent an email about Hilton Madness to all the Jr Cyclone Club members. We won't be going, though.

Never heard of snap chat and Instagram. I think you mean he uses the Ashley Madison app.

FYI, your son sends pics of his junk to chicks.

Saw this as team for shooting stars, not sure how accurate:

Niang, Baier, Carleton, and Special Guest ?

Blaskowsky, Morris, Nezlek, and Special Guest?

I would guess Fizer on Niang's team and maybe Allison Lacey on Morris' team.

Seems odd to have Nezlek doing this, so not sure if this is correct.
