Hilton Madness

We'd stay overnight but with a 6 month old there isn't much to do in Ames all day. Now if they had a Banana Republic...

Just swaddle that little monkey in a hawkeye tee shirt. The tyke can soil it with baby bombs all day and no one can tell.

They are not fans of shopping and prefer being nekked.

Meh - one of mine went through a brief period of being decidedly UNhappy when nekkid. Fastest diaper changes on record...

Might have something to do with the fact that it was winter in Pullman, and we lived in a drafty trailer... :)

No autographs confirmed. Autographs were available during fan fest. Makes sense, the players stayed really late last year and this year they probably want people out of Hilton quickly so the athletics staff can get ready for the football game on Saturday.

That's crap! I wanted the new poster to have all the guy's signatures on it. The BBall posters weren't available back in August. I don't think I'll be going, so enjoy to those who do go!

I never have the patience to wait in line for the autographs, but if they were going to use FanFest availability as an excuse, they maybe could have informed folks that autographs at Hilton Madness would not be available prior to FanFest.

Guess for the most part I'm not all that het up about autographs; I'm more interested in seeing the team on the court than in standing in line for several hours to get a few signatures.

I'm going primarily to see the team in a casual atmosphere, and to get pumped up for the imminent season.

Agreed. I'm not complaining because I think HM is a cool idea, but fanfest, IMO, was marketed towards young kids based on the ads I saw.

Whereas Hilton Madness is more geared toward the students - evidenced by the fact that they are allowed entrance earlier than the rest of us. As it should be, IMO.

The fact so many people are asking shows what people really want.
Or the line 3/4 the way around the concourse last year waiting for autographs. I don't really care about autographs but it's too bad they aren't doing it this year as it was a monster draw last year.

If they really are aiming Hilton Madness towards the students, they aren't doing a very good job of it. My student didn't even know when it was until I told him this weekend.

I'm guessing autograph session are a major PITA for the team.

I never really understood the obsession with autographs anyway. "Nice to meet you! Let me write my name down on this piece of paper for you!" To each their own I guess.

I assumed from the late starting time (8.00pm) that it was geared more toward students as opposed to fanfest, which is more family friendly. I may be wrong, but I don't think college students place that much importance on autograph sessions.

Yea, he never reads the Daily. He did forward me the email about break tickets he got today to see which ones we want. It included the entire schedule but did not have one mention of Hilton Madness or even include the time and date in the schedule.
