Walking Dead

Overall, I thought the episode was fine. It was setting up this season with the zombie herds and the Wolves. The sequencing was nice to show the events/flashbacks to show how the group came together since the previous season.

So, you have a giant quarry that has caught 2000 to 3000 zombies and your plan is to lead all the zombies someplace else? Why wouldn't you use all of those extra vehicles to fortify and block the quarry so that it keeps catching more and more and more zombies? I realize that this show is fiction, but I'd like them to at least use common sense to catch fictional characters LOL.

So what do you think the sound was that came from the home base? Probably Karl doing something stupid.

My thoughts...

Eugene let that car in that had three people, obviously a known party to the other people living in Alexandria. But I don't recall seeing the two other (not the 'cool hair') in round up .... I also didn't completely believe the 'cool hair' kids story... or that there may be more to it.

So my thought is the two that I didn't' see in the herding, did something back home to take the Zs off track.

I thought the season finally of FTWD was better than this episode of TWD.

I think they were both good... storylines and settings couldn't be more different, so hard to really compare the two shows right now.

This was a great season opener, definitely the largest scale episode we've seen in a long time. Though I still think the idea of luring the zombies away was maybe not a good idea... you have them all in one great spot already, either devise a way to keep them there, or kill them in the quarry. Don't lead them out into the open like that. But, of course we need some drama.

Yeah that is a very bad idea. Either fortify the position at the quarry, or even better, exterminate the group that is all in one place.

I suspect the horn is from one of the semi's at the quarry. They led the herd away from the quarry then took a right turn. Either the semi that fell, slipped farther and something tripped the horn or someone (Alexandria resident or Wolf) set it off.

IMO the horn very clearly came from Alexandria.

If the horn came from the Quarry, that would be too easy to kill them as the walkers would just all fall off the cliffs and onto the rocks below. (Which is what they should have done in the first place. Led them all out like they are doing, but rather than hearding them all over the place, just funnel them to a cliff and watch them plunge to their death).
But since its a tv show, I'm sure the horn is coming from Alexandria or the Wolves.
