Here are some recipes

link

ok, think I'm fairly settled on my chips and dip stuff since we have a wedding tomorrow and I want to take 0 time to make something. But, we have a Halloween party in a couple weeks and I think I should do some of these and the smokies. I'm pinning this stuff. Actually, gluten friend (this is the cat meower friend for those of you keeping track) won't be in town for that party, so maybe I could try the amaretto mascarpone chocolate pie recipe I saw.....

how many jello shots does a recipe generally make? I've never made those either.

Always, it is redbridge beer. I have never tried it but my brother's BIL decided that he needed to be gluten free for like a week and got this and thought it was good.

Funny story: He once tried to order gluten free breakfast sandwiches from Panera. He also asked Taco Bell for a gluten free menu (same weekend).

the good thing is friend isn't super big on beer (wine and rum, this is why she's my friend, see?) but that's good to know if we want to make foods that use beer.

2. Be sure to test the recipe out tonight and post on here how they turned out

It has been years but I think we usually got 20-25 from a box.

CG, it really depends on what size of a shot you make and what size jello box you get. I was at some party back in the day and they used these rocks-glass-sized plastic cups that was just awkward as hell. I don't want to have to spoon out a jello shot. We always use the larger sized dixie cups so you could just mush the bottoms and enjoy.

For a party we had for our small group one of our group leaders (a 2L) made jello shots in giant syringes. It worked, but that was a lot of jello

This seems about right based upon the research Mrs JC has been doing over the last couple of years. If you can find the little paper "ketchup" holder cups they tend to work better. The jello can be tough to get out of plastic shot glasses.

Also, remember gluten-free chips.

so what's the difference between these and ones that are in some kind of sauce in a crockpot? I've never made any of these type of lil smokie things before.

When I make them in a crockpot, it is just smokies and bbq sauce. I have made the bacon wrapped/butter/brown sugar ones in the oven. I personally wouldn't make those in the crockpot--you would have to do them single layer and the bacon would not crisp.

Ugh, broke down and got a cherry vanilla coke from Sonic (first pop in a long time). Now I've got some weird caffeine induced headache. I've had caffeine withdrawal headaches before when I broke myself of the soda habit, but this is a new twist I wasn't anticipating.

BTDT. I know my caffeine limits and what time of day I can drink it (99% of the time in coffee form). I tend to stay awake from caffienated pop for that same reason because I haven't drank pop for a long time.

I haven't made any like this in a crockpot - we usually use bbq sauce on those. So the bacon makes it different, I suppose. I don't know how you'd keep the bacon wrapped around them if they're just floating in the sauce. I stuck toothpicks in them after I poured the butter/brown sugar over them. Held them together while cooking, and made it easier for people to pick up one or two or twelve...I didn't have to bring a spoon or fork to the tailgate.

I was thinking tortilla chips should be fine, right? Cause they are corn?

ok, so the ones in the crockpot then probably don't involve bacon. I didn't know if some people were baking in the oven first and then keeping warm in sauce in the crockpot. Which seemed odd to me, because like Birdy said, that won't be crispy.

I had a 44 oz fountain mountain dew on Saturday after a month or so of no pop, I was tweakin' for an hour or so. Didn't even think of it until I was tryin'a figure why I was jittery, then it dawned on me.

Fall.

Was the set list mostly her new album? Did she some of her old stuff?

Mostly her new album, including one song that is only on the deluxe version (I think). The old stuff she did play (Trouble and We are never getting back together) were in a very different style than the originals. She did a couple acoustic songs, one was Love Story.

Before the concert I hadn't even listened to her 1989 album (except what is played on the radio), but my daughter knew all the songs. That is why I told my hubby he should've gone instead of me. He burned the CD before we wrapped it up as a Christmas present for her last year and had listened to it all.
