Was just thinking that. Had all of his visits set then suddenly canceled them all and new visits to new schools emerged. Strange.

Sick family member put recruitment on hold. In the mean time the situation with teams changed and gave us an opening to get involved with a new coaching staff.

Florida St has been killing it on the recruiting trail lately. Leonard Hamilton is a really good recruiter.

plus you gotta figure Florida St has the samish effect as Miami, etc...a kick *** campus life and an easy drive to the coast. Not too difficult to sell to 17 year old guys

They have always had a location/weather advantage though and it hasn't translated to basketball success yet. Probably has more to do with being a Football first school and trying to compete in the ACC than their roster talent. Neither of those factors will be changing anytime soon.

Hamilton has the NBA pedigree and been landing elite talent over the past couple of years. They a formitable threat for Norvell's services. On the flip side, Prohm getting a commitment over FSU should ease anyone's possible concerns about his recruiting to a P5 school.

Thing I am going to watch out for is if there is truth behind the info that his family wants him to play closer to home. So that they can come and see him. If that is truly a factor then ISU makes sense bc even though favored I don't think he lands at Illinois

Couple quick notes/thoughts. Norvell & Moore are AAU teammates so that can't hurt. And the fact that we are going after three guards right now coupled some recent comments makes me think that the staff has been impressed with Carter so far and has some high expectations for him moving forward.

Interesting thought. I think these may also be the best players on the board that are showing return interest. Hopefully a combination of the two!

Watching the Charlie Moore videos online, the summer 2015 videos are quite good. LIKE

I think I speak for all of us when I say we can all sleep easier at night knowing that you're watching out for that.

Pretty quiet on the Jakolby Long front. Was hoping to hear some favorable news early this week.

I would guess he got caught up in the excitement and wanted to commit, but his family told him "let's talk it over"..They have probably convinced him to take at least one more visit to see if he feels the same way after it...This happens a lot....

Now I would really like to be wrong...

Fisher to UNLV instead of Memphis (keeps the Tigers as an option for Moore)

@TheRecruitScoop: 2016 Bolton (TN) guard Jaylen Fisher - a top-60 recruit - has committed to UNLV.

@jeffborzello: Memphis will now turn to Charlie Moore and Tyson Carter as point guard priorities. Both took official visits over the last few weeks.

Good old UNLV finding a way to **** us again. I will never understand why anyone would want to go play for Rice or why their boosters keep shelling out dough despite the lack of ROI.

This. It frustrates me every time I see a talented player commit to UNLV.

Rice will still find a way to suck no matter how much talent he has.
