Random thought. Why are there still commercials about toilet paper? Are there really people who still don't know about the stuff?

It's not about increasing the market but rather about claiming your share of it.
I can deal with a lot of stuff, but the bear commercials about little pieces left behind and the British nitwit inviting everyone to wipe & go commando just set my teeth on edge...
Yeah, we have that capability...I just keep forgetting to use it. So I tune out during commercials...but some of them are just hard to ignore...
Don't get me started on commercials during sports programs. I don't fit the demographic when I spend all day watching college football or basketball. I see enough ta-tas for three lifetimes every weekend.![]()
Kinda job related, my grandma votes for me to go back to school. It comes up every once in a while when I'm with my family and I'm pretty torn. I enjoy the out of school life but don't see myself doing what I'm doing long term. Obviously a lot would depend on what I'd go back to school for.
Yeah - that's going to be fun. I'm hoping that I will be able to beg a temporary handicapped space on the railing. I'm willing to pay for it.

I hope you get it but sad I might be losing my section 239 seating buddy.
don't go back unless you know what you want to do with it. Do you know what you want to see yourself doing long term?
Apologizing up front, CG...I'm not trying to sound snotty to you, but OMFG, I fugging hate this question. Some people can answer this...and a lot of them have an idol they're chasing (money/power/status). Some just have a very clear idea of what they want to do in a defined job title. Some people can...only because they *think* they know what their bosses do (nothing for a lot of money is usually what they think). Other people can't, and that doesn't mean they're shiftless wanderers with no drive. (not that I'm saying you're implying this, but some who ask that question do assume that, but sometimes, it's just the wrong question)
My new boss asked me this several times during his semi-official, official vetting process. I kept answering with the same thing...I have no idea...I don't have a set path. What I finished with, though, is what drives me. I feel good if I go home and can definitively see how things were better because I was there that day. I can do that at different levels, just don't put me in a role where I can't see how I made a difference. 6 months ago, I wouldn't have applied for the job I'll start on Monday, just because I can so easily see that I made a difference in the job I just finished. Yet, I told him, over the last 6 months, I've seen how I could make a difference at my new job, and now I wanted to do it, and I was chomping at the bit to do it, because I don't want to see someone else come in and not do the things that need to be done, and just get by, get in front of the right people, and get promoted.
Sorry, again, not sniping at you, but that's not an easy answer for some people, but because it's so used, people can think that they are lost because they can't answer it. Sometimes for those people, understanding what makes them get up in the morning and bust *****...what drives them...can be more important than 'where they see themselves' in the future.
And, final apology...really, I don't mean to be snotty, but I just hate how ubiquitous that question has become...it's a good exercise for some, but for others, the question of what motivates them is more important.
Oh, we're keeping our seats. This is just for six weeks, starting 29 December. We'll be back up there as soon as I can hobble up there! In the meantime, you may just have to come find us on the concourse.
