Random Thoughts IV

What I'm wondering about is the random closures by the mods. There are around 12 to 15 threads...only a couple have locks on them. Weird. I wonder what criteria they're using for closing the threads?

CG--any word on Capezio's injury? My daughter said for some reason the mops were totally sweat-soaked so the helpers were having to use towels under their feet to mop. Sounds like the floors took out at least one Dayton player.

She also said that it is now an NCAA rule that helpers have to be in 6th grade to mop the floor. Bummer for my younger one who helps, but I understand why. The helpers are all "volunteer" here and hey don't limit who is able to be a helper. So they end up with 30 kids and really only need 8 or so a set. Some kids have no business being out there.

stores that stink get closed, others stay open.

Announcer said foot sprain. CJL said no need for x-rays (good!) but will wait to see what happens with swelling and pain tomorrow. Unsure if she will play.

Quick rundown for those not closely following along...someone started a thread about people checking out normal grocery shopping stuff in the alcohol area checkout, which is dumb, because they're not set up to handle that stuff.

Then another dude starts another one about someone with a dog in hy-vee and he complained to the manager, etc...which, I mean, I don't really want to see a bunch of dogs in a grocery store, either (even though I love my dog), but I realize with the complexities of service animal rules and stuff...it will happen, and there's not much the store can do about it. This guy seemed to be wound a little tight, so now there's all these other threads up to make fun of all the ranting about grocery stores tonight.

People bring their dogs into every place here. I don't know if there's not rules about it or if nobody just cares, but dogs of every size and breed everywhere and no on bats an eye.
