MLB: 2015 Minnesota Twins thread

Twins are just 3-8 since the AS game, including 1-4 during the current home stand, and it doesn't sound like management is planning to make any moves before the deadline.

What sucks is that the AL West probably has one of the wild cards locked up, and every other contender for the second WC has either made some big trades (Blue Jays adding David Price, Tulowitzki...Rangers getting Hamels) or is playing hot right now (Orioles, White Sox...yes, really, the White Sox).

I'm OK with the twins sitting this trade season out. I'm still to concerned they would pull another Capps/Ramos type move. No one expected to win this year, no sense in compromising the future for this season.

This all the way. This season has felt like they were playing with house money the whole time.

5 years ago he was a first ballot hall of fame candidate. Now he should be thankful to get his number retired by the Twins.

He is probably 1,358 hits away from being a Hall of Fame lock. He has an MVP, six all-star games, five silver sluggers, and three gold gloves at catcher. He might make it in on the rarity of having three batting tittles as a catcher, by itself.

But yeah, .270/.335/.381 at this point isn't that much better than replacement level at first base.

If you listen closely, you just might be able to hear the sound of the window closing on this era of the Detroit Tigers.

They better shake something up to make a run in the second half because after that they aren't exactly lined up with the fast track going forward.

Well it's slammed shut today: Tigers cut loose GM

Will be nice to have them as less of a threat for a couple years in trying to get back on top of the division.

White Sox seem to just always be the White Sox, and despite perennial expert declarations that "Cleveland will be really good this year" it just hasn't seemed to happen for them.

Twins sure look to have their internal prospect window lining up with a relatively advantageous window with other teams in the division.

Just something to keep in mind as a relatively disappointing conclusion seems to loom for the Twins' dress rehearsal year as I've come to view it.

So will Buxton ever play more than 10 games in a row? Dude seems to have bad luck.

Watching Twins/Seattle and announcers noted Mauer has a whopping 4 rbi in July. Yikes.

That's on management. I don't care of the former future Hall of Famer takes 25% of the team's payroll; nobody hitting as poorly as Mauer should be slotted above the six-spot in the lineup.
