Guys, to be fair, this is what keeps us from doing stuff like renting some compressor powered pneumatic hammer when all we are doing is hanging a picture on the wall.

Well, you could use an electric screwdriver when mounting plastic face plates for light switches & outlets, and crack every damn one of them. Or ignore your wife's observation that the deck you are replacing is 10ft x 12 ft, and buy enough boards to make a 10ft x 10ft deck, leaving a two-foot unpainted section on the siding next to the deck, and measure the stairs three times but still build them offset to the cement pad by 2.5 inches (again, ignoring your wife's observations that the stairs will be at an angle), at which point you simply "tweak" them to make them line up, making the railings & stairs slightly tilted and weakening the structure. Oh yes, and save money by making the steps themselves out of just two four-bys with a 3 inch gap between them because no one's feet are small enough to go through the gap. Except the two Brittany Spaniels, who both ended up with hip issues very young from frequently catching rear legs in the stairs on the way down to the yard.

Whoooooo...guess I needed to vent! And yes, the learning curve was looooong with the ex - none of this was PapaLew.

Like CG, I would have been confused by the cooler speaker concept. My girl logic would have said "buy wireless speakers" and "buy cooler" and call it good.

Which would be a perfectly reasonable course of action... however, wireless speakers with the kind of volume I'm looking for are quite expensive.

Well, there's a simple explanation, based on those descriptions, KC...despite the fact that he likely had a Y chromosome, your first husband was not actually a man. Sounds like you corrected that on the second go-round. Well done.

Hey, I just noticed...it's telling that the girl logic solution required 2 shopping transactions...Buy wireless speaker, Buy cooler...more shopping.

As you can tell by the upgrade in chest hair.

My sister picked me up yesterday to take me to our uncle's visitation up in Danbury,IA about 4 hours away. I get in the passenger seat an notice she has Google Maps running on her phone. I'm like, "I know how to get there, you can turn your phone off and save its battery." She seems fidgety, mumbles "ok" but leaves her phone on.

We turn out of the driveway at work, start crossing the bridge, and she starts looking down at her phone. Meanwhile we start veering over the line into oncoming traffic....on a bridge. I go, "Uh, sis. CAR!" She jerks the car back into our lane at the exact same time that I regret agreeing to ride 4 hours with this woman.

We were about 50 yards from my work. Does she not think I know how to get to work every day? Cripes!

Went to look her up on spotify and realized I already had one of her songs on a playlist. I dig her voice as well.

Birthday is October 11th, so right when it's starting to get cold. Last year I went to Tampa to see family, I was sweating when I flew out and came back to windy and upper 40s (if that).

Cool, a fellow October Birthday friend. mine is 27th.

Or one trip to Amazon.

That was my course of action... however, to be fair, I did require a couple trips to Lowe's in the phase of "how do I securely attach this to a cooler?"
