Watching Archer reruns. Now I can't go to bed till 1:00.
I've rewatched a few of the vice episodes but it seems every time I watch it, Netflix decides to be screwy. I think it's just sucky internet so it's hit or miss. Archer is one of my favorite shows.

Every time I go to some all female gathering, they always think we should have some dainty thing like a bunch of salads, which ironically usually have tons of mayo, cheese, and/or bacon, and I am always thinking dang, I'm old, I might break a hip or something, give me something with iron and calcium like meat. :spinny:

Tacos sound like a good plan because you can use a crock pot or roaster or something to keep the meat warm and have the toppings ready in advance. So you going green beans?

who wants salad? I mean, I actually have fruit salad in the fridge right now. I want delicious things at parties.

Well, at first glance, the remaining begonia basket seems to be okay.

Missing more hosta stems, though. Guess it's time to pick up the deer repellent. Dang, I hate spending those bucks!!!

I'm about ready to pick up one of those kids in the VW commercial and beat the other two with 'em.

Or, lock their mother in a room with the three of them for 8 hours with the only provisions being Skittles and Mountain Dew.

what should I make my lady friends for our puzzle party?

The one got pizza for help moving, but I was thinking of doing homemade pizza. Or tacos.

If you haven't decided yet, I vote tacos. Pretty easy to prep ahead of time. That and I got to eat some last night. Z had a third helping of meat and cheese.

Is that the mothers don't let your sons be cowboys one?

You & PapaLew are much in agreement...

Personally, I'd hog-tie the lot (mother included) & throw 'em in the back of the van...then drive down some gravel roads after a heavy rain when the washboarding is in full effect...

I really don't like that commercial. I mean it isn't the brand of car that is allowing the boys to act that way. At the same time the mom was putting gas in her car and couldn't really follow them either...... I just don't like it.

Obligatory "It's my Friday" post.

it's both my Monday and my Thursday.

Feels like a Monday though, left my laptop at home. Knew I would. Even moved it from the table to the counter yesterday because I saw it and thought "I will forget that if it's sitting at the table that I don't walk by on my way out." Since I don't normally take my laptop home. Had it sitting underneath the counter where I put my purse. Walked right by. Good part about DH going to work 25-30 minutes after me and being somewhat a similar side of town is that we can meet halfway and I don't have to drive all the way home.

how are we halfway through the year already?

haven't decided on pizza vs tacos yet........probably won't until next week. Think I will have vodka lemonades ready to go though, that seems summery and easy. Wine doesn't really seem to go with those things. But I could have that too, I suppose :P

Need to get new phones sooner rather than later. Having to take phone calls at the end of the driveway will get old fast.

oh yeah, happy birthday Hopp - hope you're getting a nice birthday present in Hawaii!

Also got a bonus for a project today. Well, not today today, but in time for our closing. Sweet.

Saw an interesting article last night about vanilla in lemonade, sounded intriguing...although that application involved scraping vanilla beans, and then the little black seeds floating in the lemonade, which didn't sound so intriguing...so maybe try just adding a little vanilla extract:

I know! I was just thinking how June seemed to last only a week and a half.

Another thing about tacos is that you can choose your own toppings, and how much of each. Also, tacos seem more summer-y than pizza.

Only today, tomorrow, and half of Friday then he's home. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good grief, he's been gone for awhile. I'll "Yay!" with you! :wubclub:

Thanks, Sara! Three week trip. He was in MA, RI, NJ, PA, and maybe NY. A lot of the archives have been really helpful and even pulled pulled some of the things he mentioned to them the day he was to be there.

Others (mostly Harvard) weren't very helpful. Though, one of his Profs warned him of that. They had two different search systems and they didn't cross reference each other. There was one item he would have liked to see, but found out there that it was by appointment only and it was too late to do that.
