And? You said all that matters is MBB and FB.

It's hard to say the overall success of ISU hasn't been on the rise since JP arrived. Even if he wasn't directly responsible for the historic success of every single sport - he sure as hell hasn't gutted them either, has he? Volleyball has been upgraded, softball, soccer, track. Even the WBB program has a nice part of that basketball facility, don't they?

Are you lost? Read the wrong series of posts?

Yes, all that matters in raising revenue are revenue sports. Like I said, JP has done a great job with the books considering we have only had moderate success on the field.

I think we could say he overpaid, but I'm holding onto the idea that Jeremy is floating that we don't know the whole list right now. There may be someone there who's worth that.

This post kind of reminds of a something...I won't go in to it, but it belongs in the cave, and it's something/someone else that A LOT of people are waiting for that is NEVER going to happen. Hope on though!

@ChrisMWilliams: BREAKING: Steve Kerr to skip Game 1 of the Finals tonight to interview for open ISU job. Will be at Hickory Park at 6 p.m. for autographs.

Wisconsin recruiting ties could definitely be valuable in the future. Wisconsin is who they are because of Bo Ryan, who's 67 yo. and likely retires within 5 years. If UW whiffed on the next hire its possible both Marquette and Wisconsin could be down.

Although Ryan seems like a cantankerous bastard who could coach till he's 80.

@ChrisMWilliams: If this ISU search really does last 2-3 weeks, I’m going to break something.

@TravisHines21: If this search lasts 2-3 weeks, I’m not sure I’ll survive.

I will add that if the search lasts that long we are screwed.

Yep - read every one of them. I think you're wrong, or at least overstating the point. Apparently for you, JP not hiring Fennelley is the lone reason to support your point.

Whatever.

...having Wisconsin recruiting ties is about #437 on the list of things we should care about in a new Iowa State coach, right after "does he prefer the Beatles' earlier albums or their post-Pepper work?"

I'm still of the opinion that both Ellenson's would most likely be Cyclones right now if TJ hadn't gone to U-Dub.

A plus though.

Speaking of, where are Prohm, Underwood, etc.'s recruiting ties? Where the F is Stephen F Austin?

Edit: Turns out east Texas. Texas, Ark, Louisiana connections would be nice.

Page clicks, business is booming for them right now! This thread alone has had 33,000 views in 14 hours.

Can we stop acting like any of these guys are sure things? TJ, Prohm, underwood, etc are probably coin flips working out long term.

**BREAKING NEWS** Jeannie Buss spotted at Ames Municipal Airport waiting to meet with realtor. Don't bother checking Flightaware. This flight was blocked.

In addition to that Matt Thomas, Jameel McKay, Deonte Burton, Diate Garrett, Scotty C all had Wisky ties. I'd probably bump it up a few notches from where you have it.
