Birthdays--the youngest is 2 days before mine in March. We came home from the hospital on my birthday. This week one turns 4 tomorrow and one turns 12 on Friday (it is the 4 yr old party on Sat, 12yr old is playing softball all day). When we were due with #3, her due date was 5/8. We planned 1st Communion for the oldest on 5/15 thinking chances were high we would have a 1 week old at that time. #3 decided to throw us for a loop and go 5 days overdue (other 2 were on due date and 2 days after, both on their own accord). We had to induce #3 because my amniotic fluid levels were too low. She was born on Friday the 13th. And came home on the oldest ' s birthday. She had to do 1st Communion without me there and when hubby brought me home from the hospital we had a full-fledged party going on. All parents, all the local aunts/uncles/cousins celebrating 1st Communion and her 8th birthday which were that day. Let me tell you, it took CG-like planning to pull that off without me there.
As for the whole girl baby thing, I used to totally put that in my husband. But then I once read that it may also be partly due to the hosting environment. Certain acidity levels (or something like that) could potentially kill off boy swimmers. If you want to try for a girl (or boy for others) Google The Shettles Method.
