Random thoughts III

I've been on a cooking spree the last couple of weeks. Tomorrow I'm making budin de pasas (a type of bread pudding with raisins) with a candied walnuts topping. I've made budin many times, but the candied walnut topping will be a first. We'll see how it turns out.

friday night with sepsis due to some uncooperative kidney stones. I found out today that I also have pneumonia in my left lung. Not feeling really sharp. Crossed fingers, Prayers, good vibes...all wood be welcome.

dabnabbit, they named the baby princess Charlotte. I mean, I'm glad to have the same taste in names as royalty, but dangit. Now that name will skyrocket. And it was already used by Chelsea Clinton so it had already been getting close to too popular.

I hate they named her that since it seems like it is after old big ears cheating gramps.

My 'feeling old' moment over the weekend was when we went to my parents on Friday, and mom sent my old teddy bear home with us. I got to thinking on the way home, he's between 30 and 35 years old.

And, for those wondering, his name is Harry...yes, Harry Bear.

ooof, I didn't even think about that. I wonder if that was on purpose to then have Diana in the name as well? I saw Alice was a top bet but I have no idea where that comes from. I was hoping for Caroline just because it wasn't Charlotte, ha.

I think Alice is also a traditional royal name. I guess they threw Charles, the queen, and Diana all in the name, but I hate that Charlotte is the first name. Gramps will always be Camilla's tampon to me.:mad:
