I saw that today! They beat the Ice team with Hahn on it.....pretty nice!

I was surprised to see Hahn at trivia last night, we didn't get to talk to her. Victoria Hurt was at out table the first round. CJL was at our table a different round, so talked to her. She is 2-3yrs older than me, I was asking about someone she went to HS with that I knew at Iowa State. Coach was actually being inducted into her HS Hall of Fame last night and she chose to go to trivia. Because it is just that fun. :)

I do believe KC & Papalew were at Cy's house of trivia. That would be their teams score probably 8 pts from 1st. Nice job KC Congrats.

Yup! I posted that then headed for bed. We took 9th place! We missed a couple of questions that were "duh - quit over-thinking", and seriously didn't know some of them.

We had several rounds with no celebrity guest...not sure if they were lost or if there weren't enough to go around all the way. The ones you might recognize that sat at our table were "Mr Ed" (Ed Wilson from WHO), the softball coach (you'd like her, guys...she's got personality AND is quite a looker), and Mangino the younger (Tom, I think?). Some of the guys at our table were enjoying their beers. When Tom sat down he was introducing himself...through the beer fog and the noise level, I don't think one of our team caught his name...because his first question to Tom was "now, what sport are you with?" I damn near fell off my chair!

CG, I thought of you when we got the VB tickets.

I forgot - we also got Cy bobble-heads (there was one for every participant). :)

With as big as it has gotten, it is hard to get enough "celebrities" to have one at every round. They pull in assistant gymnastics coaches and grad assistants and such to help fill it out but not 100 ISU celebrities. ;) It did seem this year that our table may have been "catered" to because of the giving level/ticket history we have. We had Victoria Hurt and CJL (my dad has season vball tickets and highly supports ($) volleyball), Brynn Williamson (they have courtside WBB tix), Kyven Gadson (season wrestling tickets for 35 years, attend NCAA tourney almost every year), Andrew Moser and Pete Link (strength and conditioning for MBB and WBB), and someone from the Athletic fundraising dept. We don't always land all those celebrities.

that all sounds really cool and like a lot of fun!

I kind of figured there weren't enough to go around. It was fun talking to them, and the ones we had at our table were all out-going personalities, but I would have had just as much fun without them, honestly. I did talk to a few of the "celebrities" during breaks - in line at the beverage stations, or the buffet...even the bathroom. :)

I wonder if Kyven Gadsen will ever live down the "ice cream search"? Too funny!

Our teammates told us that Trimming the Fat tends to be at the top or near it a lot. How did your team do, Birdy?

Forgot the sunscreen yesterday.

Paying for it today. Not too badly but still....ouch.

Just listened to Creedence Clearwater Revival Chronicle in its entirety again yesterday....a friend I find every year or so. I still cannot freaking believe some honky from SF bay wrote Proud Mary and those other songs. Similar to the miracle of the Jagger/Richards songwriting. Proud Mary could have a line about the Liberty Bowl in it.

Whose side are you on, Eddie?

What? What sides are there?

Mine or the ozone's? Choose one!

I'm on your side, all right?
Just calm down.

Now look, I'm gonna put a little
of this aloe on your back, okay?

Should make you feel better.

You **** **** !!

I feel like such an adult today. I got up at a decent time, went running and did bonus workout stuff, showered, got laundry drying, made eggs and a bowl of fruit....now to clean and try to tackle that high school clothing box before DH gets back.

Much adulting today.
