Yeah I don't get it. The Cards will do well enough against everyone else not named Chicago to win the Central again. Meanwhile the Cubs will go back to losing to everyone and finish in 4th again. I'd like to not suck dirt against the Cubs, but I take solace knowing which team will still be playing in a January bowl game.

As a Cards fan, I guess I'm one of the few that can definitely see this viewpoint.
To me, the difference is in baseball, both teams play multiple games against each other every year. And even if the Cubs take the majority of the games, there's much less sting in losing 60% of the series as opposed to 100%.
However, I also think Cubs fans do have to realize that the Cards typically back it up much better than the Hawks do, for comparison's sake.
