I have no idea how people can remember their professors and course numbers. I guess I'm just getting old. The only profs I remember from college were my band directors.

Well, one of them was CG, and I submit that she may not be actually remembering, but consulting her archived spreadsheets. That also explains the emphasis on course #'s rather than names...they work better for sorting and vlookups and stuff.

Yeah, the then new Greenlee school president or whatever the position is called taught it. Can't remember his name. Had a beard and glasses. May or may not still be there.
Michael Bugeja? If that's who you're talking about, I can't picture him with a beard.

In JLMC we had to have an area of interest not related to journalism. Mine was sociology, and I took a Sociology of Religion class the ended up being one of my favorite classes. Took a couple more religious studies classes just for the enjoyment of it after that.
The good ol' DAC.

You could get the DAC "waived" if you declared a double major. That's why I also got a history degree.

When I first came to ISU, you had to get 24 or 27 credits in that area of interest outside of JLMC. Now you just have to get a minor in something.

I can barely remember the names/numbers of my core courses let alone any other classes I took. They didn't offer my course of study as a major or a minor, it was an area of emphasis within speech communications major. There were three professors within the department. A few years after I graduated, one one professor took a position at a different univeristy and another retired. The classes eventually were placed under Psychology instead of Speech Com. Not even sure if any of them still exist. Kinda sad, if you want to work anywhere in this area of study you have to have a masters. Both UNI and Iowa offer a full program including a masters.

It was just 15 credits in a different field when I was there. I almost considered minoring in sociology, because I think it was like 18 credits to do so, but I just hated school too much to put in the extra effort.

Remembering things is kind of my deal. I remember profs from 20 years ago that few here would know of (except for a couple of us that revel over Dr. Kottman memories).

yep. I tend to remember numbers. So I tend to remember my class numbers. Though not 456, clearly.

Stalker question: When did you take that course?

I think we talked about this before, actually. I graduated in 10......took that class fall of.....soph? Year? Let me think here....yeah, I walked from Friley, so fall of sophomore year and that would be fall 2007 then.

I like how you actually typed out your thought process instead of just thinking about it and then responding.

After spending a few years in Computer Engineering I could have gotten a Math minor with a few more theoretical math courses after I switched to Management of Information Systems.

I did not like math enough to keep going for that

Oh sure, stalk the female. But when we saw each other on campus, you wouldn't even acknowledge me. I see how it is.

I know you knew who I was.

At least, I'm pretty sure.

It was upped to somewhere in the 20s when I first came to ISU in 2007. At the time, I just needed 30 credits to complete the history major, so I figured it was worth going for that extra piece of paper on graduation day.
