Kind of along the same same man/woman lines, the whole #likeagirl has been in the forefront since the Super Bowl commercial. My oldest came home excited today because for PE they had to create a workout--they could use weights, the barbell, etc. She has been doing off season workouts for volleyball and softball, so she loved the assignment. She presented her workout today and then flexed for the class. She said she got lots of "whoa!"s from the boys in class. They were impressed. They should be. 
Daddy was born on the ranch (1924), delivered by my grandpa. He was 13 lbs. Mama was 12 lbs. Sister's late baby was 12 lb, 10oz.

Ever watch the flex cam pics at the games? Some of those gals are far more defined than the guys they show. Me? Eh...like everything else, my biceps have succumbed to gravity and are now batwings. Maybe if the cameraman stood on his head...?

9lb, 4oz, born on the day I was due...not a c-section. My mom likes to talk about the 10lb boy she saw in the nursery that looked like a linebacker with a crew cut.

I imagine even more so for your wife! My mom went to the hospital for the fake ones at least once with me, might have been twice. Sorry, Mom.
How many weeks?
I do feel bad for my mom. I was 10 lbs, 1 oz and my younger brother was 10 lbs. I also was born during a tornado warning.
She will be 37 weeks on Monday and due to her high blood pressure has an induction scheduled for two weeks from now.
Impressively random **** be all happenin' here today!
Now off to try and find out how small or big a baby I was. I can't have been a big baby although the doctors did try to kill me with tongs. No way they would do that today. No newbee baby pictures of me since I have heard I looked like something that had been beaten within a inch of their life.

I think they may still have the tongs in the arsenal. With our oldest, when he was crowning, every time mom had contractions, his heart rate dropped, so they were worried the cord was wrapped. They used a suction thing to pull him, but I do think they tongs are available if the suction thing doesn't work.
Reading through this thread makes me question why any same woman would ever want to put herself through that.
It has long been a shared joke among women that if men had the babies, the human race would die out...because they would never willingly do it a second time.
