I'm surprised you haven't watched it with the grandkids.
My boys outgrew Disney Jr a long time ago but they still end up watching it with their younger cousin when they all go to my moms.
We may have watched an episode or 2 earlier this morning.
Doc McStuffins is a girl and also African American. Her mom is a doctor to actual people on the show, so Doc is modeling her behavior after her positive role model. 
We actually don't watch a lot of TV with them. They usually have something on when they first get up but we don't see it. Grandma don't DO 6.30a when she doesn't have to go to work!
The rest of the time we're far too busy to watch TV.

This is my first Valentines day with my fiance so I am sending flowers to the school where she teaches on Friday to surprise her.
We aren't doing anything because our work schedules don't allow. Me working in the morning that day. Her in the afternoon/evening. I asked if she wanted to have a brunch in the two hours we'd have before she had to be to work, but she said no she didn't want to rush it.
I think her underlying message she is trying to get across is since we aren't doing anything = bigger gift expectations.
I'm in the same boat. I thought about having Cy bring her flowers to her at work in Ames on that Friday, but that costs $100.

I think my favorite character is the soul-sista hippo nurse.
*edit: As a pasty white guy, I feel I should clarify that the use of the term soul-sista is not derogatory, but she's got these Aretha Franklin-esque mannerisms...reminds me of Aretha's character in the Blues Brothers...no-nonsense, confident, sassy...this is how it's gonna be type woman.

Please stop posting in public forums how much your fiancee is not worth to you in $$$$ on Valentine's Day. You are going to have a bad time.
****, I'd freak out if DH sent me a $100 of flowers when we were trying to save for a wedding. He'll usually get a card, sometimes flowers. I've said it's fine by me to wait til the 15th if he wants to do flowers.
this reminds me I should go buy some peanut butter m&ms for DH though. That's usually my gift. Candy that he likes. Aww, it's even a Saturday this year. We'll probably be doing romantic things like confirming exterior stuff like siding.
Ring--are you and the fiancée able to catch the bridal fair this weekend in Ames? Just pick a different day/night to do a "Valentine's" date, tell her you love her everyday and not just Feb 14th.
After 20 years, we don't do much for Valentine's day, except we do get a heart shaped pizza from Great Plains. We did that our 1st Valentine's so it is fun to be back in Ames and be able to carry on that tradition. I said I would have to call early this year since it falls on a Sat and a home game (we usually bring it home anyway, eating in isn't always fun with 4 kids). Hubby usually boycotts Valentine's since we just had Christmas and then my birthday is in just over 2 weeks after the 14th.

We'll do something on the 15th. Sunday has become our day to spend together. She doesn't have to work and Sundays consist of my shortest shift of the week, which allows me to have most of the day.
We are. I'm going to talk to photographers and DJs there, and she's going to look at design ideas, etc.
Plus, it's being held in the alumni center. Which will give us one last opportunity to view the place before we have to make a final decision on it.

I'm always amazed at the things people ask pregnant women. "Well how dilated are you?" That would probably make me punch someone. Or trying to touch my stomach.
Are you guys that close already? I know it's been a little while since the appendix deal at 27 weeks.....but I didn't think that was almost three months ago.
