No, the committee was charged with picking the top 4 teams not just looking at their "resumes." Jumping OSU into the top 4 turned out to be genius on their part. They knew what they were doing.
I understand that, still does not change the fact that TCU and Baylor both had better bodies of work, which was my point. Also, the only reason FSU got in was because of their "resume".
And an undefeated, power conference team, is always going to get in when there are no other undefeated teams, regardless of resume. And even if resume was the only factor, FSU's resume was as good or better than either of the Big 12 teams. Better SOS and undefeated. They may have been a paper tiger, but there's no legit argument that FSU shouldn't have made the playoff.
Paul Finnebaum is an idiot
Is this just a random thought, or did he say something for you to post this. Believe me, I think you are spot on with your post, I'm just curious of what he said, if anything to get you to post this.
He was being interviewed on Sportscenter and he was already full of excuses and SEC bias. I realize he works for the SEC network, but he is an idiot. I dont have any links as I couldnt find the video. If I or someone can find it, it will probably get posted.

I won't be shocked if that's how it turns out, but I do think Ohio State will hang with Oregon.
I have been very critical of OSU but that is what I get for doubting Urban Meyer. Just don't do it.
Yeah, guy is a real moron, I remember hearing him on the college football station when I had sirius included with my new car.
I suppose his excuse was, since it wasn't actually the National championship game, Bama didn't come to play?
Wasn't it Pittsburgh? Still though, that Utah team probably deserved a chance at the National Title. He's the best. I would have voted for his Utah team as #1 if I had an AP vote. They were 10 years ahead of college football and the second most statistically dominant team in college football history. Only two teams have played an entire perfect season with no close games, his unbeaten Utah team is one of them culminating with a blowout bowl win over Alabama. Everybody right now is doing things his Utah team did a decade ago.
Isnt that guy on the committee?
lol

And yet, only one person employed by Bristol picked the Buckeyes – Austin Ward, who writes for ESPN’s Big Ten blog.
