Hey, Cowgirl...tell hubby not to feel bad about the chin beard. I saw two guys today with full up chin beards, so they're not completely out.

(of course, it was 2 middle aged mennonite guys in the Anamosa Theisen's, so not sure how much it helps)

Chin strap beard also help keep your helmet on tight to be less likely to get concussions.

You mean the epic center of stylish men in eastern Iowa?

Well, e'erybody complaining about being sick...hope you're happy...I woke up this morning sounding like Barry White and coughing up stuff that looks like I was huffing neon spray paint last night. Got up at 8, went back to bed at 9 and slept until 10.

So, not only do I get to finish up christmas shopping/wrapping over the next 2 days with this crud, I won't be able to capitalize onna kids being at grandma and grandpa's.

:realmad:

(actually, while frustrating, I'll get by...but I feel like I should really put on a show for the women who like to complain about men being sissies when they're sick)

My daughter had a pajama day at her elementary school today so I wrote "pajama day" on my desk calendar to remind myself.

I forgot.

I will remember to pick up my kid, however.

.....I wish my work had pajama day.

My 3yr old loves to wear her pj's everyday all day. She doesn't go to preschool, but goes to speech therapy once a week. She tries to tell me it is pajama day every time we go, thinking I will let her wear pajamas.

Oldest child is a ball helper at the NCAA volleyball tourney here in Ames tonight. The other three and I are having a Christmas movie night. I told hubby not to swear too loud upstairs, I don't want to know how the game is going. Too nervous to watch.

Don't worry, there's no snow on the ground. Though even if there were, you still wouldn't have to worry, because I actually know how to drive in it, having grown up in the Midwest.

we were almost late this morning cause there was a big crash where DH normally drives to work. Turns out someone lost control, hit a barrier.......got out to look at the damage and someone else lost control hit them and killed them :( We knew it was bad because even though the damage didn't look bad, there were investigators and a news crew there. And I heard there was an 8 car crash the next exit past where I work. So it was ok that we were out later than normal this morning.

he has fainted before when getting blood drawn. He said he was letting the water-blood run out of his mouth and then it came on pretty fast. Said he noticed how pale he looked and then it felt like he was in a dream. Combined with the whole not eating much all week and being hungry today...just a bad combo.

When I get blood drawn they have to come in the room and do it while I lay on the (bed/table).
