While I won't say I'm needy, I definitely take it easy. I've long ago learned I can be the tough guy and be 75% effective for a week, or I can take 1 day off, sleep like a mofo, and be back to full speed the next day. With the exception of when I got some sort of death virus from the f-ing children's museum last new year's eve and barely left the bedroom for 3 straight days and lost 7 lbs. Really, eff that place. Haven't been back since. CG: They got one in Madison, too...either go right when they open so the snotty brats haven't contaminated everything, or stay away completely once you guys get to that point.

I will confess that I had one husband who was the epitome of the picture. If he got sick it was "KC can you do this for me please"; if I got sick it was "Mom/KC can you do this for me please?".
Now, I have a husband that I have to threaten to get him to go to a doctor. He finally went in for a complete old man physical (including chest xray because he's a former smoker). They saw a "cloud" at the bottom edge of the pic, really more in the abdomen. Called him back for another xray, abdominal this time. Discovered a kidney stone...that they estimate had been there for eight plus years. Eight freakin' years! He says, "Well, yeah, gee, sometimes my back hurt, but that's no big deal". I was on the floor in a fetal position when I had a kidney stone. Sheesh!
However, moral of the story guys, get regular checkups...because he now has lost about 75% function in that kidney due to longterm hydronephrosis.

We had a membership for about 6 years. I don't think any of us ever got sick from going there. Maybe they keep the one here a little cleaner. :spinny:

Hey, I'm just the idea man...you're the one who has to work out the details...I mean, just because it's a million dollar idea, doesn't mean I'm just going to do EVERYTHING for you.
So, cowgirl...I actually had decided earlier today, that while I was 'just having fun' with the making fun of hubby thing, it wasn't who I wanted to be. The pants question kind of opened it for an explanation of why I got started with it, then the comment later on about not criticizing online was really, I guess, just unsolicited advice (which isn't probably a good thing either, even though I stand behind my sentiments). I also kind of forgot about him being sick, and while I know you're 'not mad'...you're probably a little 'momma bear' about him today, so I'm just saying that that earlier discussion was not a new twist on me being a continued stinker to hubby, it was kind of the exit strategy...whether I made a graceful dismount or not....
But, onto other things...speaking of chicken sickness, I'll never forget when I went home one time in college, went out with some friends of ours from HS. Crashed at their place after the bars, I slept on the couch. Couple hours later, I hear one of the guys in the bathroom across the hall from me turning himself inside out thru his face, and being just drunk enough to find the situation funny, I start hollering, "Hey <buddy>, you okay in there? You sound like you're not doing too well!" In between heaves, he explains "Uhh, I had some leftover chicken when we got home, it must have been bad." Yeah, I'm sure it didn't have anything to do with the massive quantities of alcohol we all consumed...from then on, anyone who had a little too much to drink was said to have gotten some bad chicken.
I want to be clear that I'm liking the sleep for a day and be better portion of this post. Not the germy germ factories. This is why we'll just make friends with the neighbors and our kids will go skate in their backyard for fun.

yeah and I'm not trying to be a killjoy -I can totally take a joke (and so can DH but he's not here to fire back but that's beside the point), but some of the ones this morning were a bit like, can we be nice to DH sometimes? Definitely feeling some momma bear today plus I feel like he gets a lot of crap since he's married to me and I'm strange. Online at least. Well, DH would argue that I'm just as odd in person.
DH is continuing to blame this on the chicken. Even though he said it got to 170 and he's got muscle soreness too. He's got whatever nasty bug I had in February (though I actually had chicken the night before too.....it was well-cooked though, I'm sure of that). Think I'm going to use the "bad chicken" line from now on.
26th and 27th. We have been there once before, same situation, middle site Christmas with the in-laws a couple years ago.
Called to get the dog into the doggie daycare/boarding place today...first they say "Yeah, he's behind on his Bordatella and Kennel Cough vaccinations, can you bring a copy of that in sometime?" I answer "No, because you've asked for it the last two times we've brought him in, and we did so, and if you guys keep losing it, that's on you, I'm not going to the vet again". Then they tell me they're full, so I ask about their other site....also full, they tell me. Just because it'd be a pain to find something else, I call the other location..."yep, we have a spot." "sweet, please put us down". "Sure, no problem....but...looks like he's behind on his Bordatella and Kennel cough vaccinations, can you bring us an updated copy" "errrggghhh...yeah, I can" (I didn't want to get snotty with the other location, since it was the normal one that kept screwing it up...but I will mention it when we bring it in to PLEASE get it into the computer...I swear, if they ask again, we're going somewhere else next time).

well, nothing's booked yet...maybe I should insist on a change of venue to Galena. Be much more fun for the adults, anyway...
