"Fans" booing our own team

I'll make you a deal, You pay for my 6 season tickets next year and my parking pass and I'll never boo again.

It's always fun when the "good" fans redirect their anger at "bad" fans when the team plays like ****.

I don't know if the boos have any effect on players morale or recruits views of the school and its fans, but by the fact that they might it's just not worth it to boo.

That's kind of where I'm at. I didn't like the cop-out at the end of the half either, but don't like the idea of sending the players to the locker room with a chorus of boos.

How many times have CF posters ridiculed other schools (one in particular) for the same acts? That's why I say let's not be "that guy".

I wonder how many of the players were (silently) booing heading off the field after that sad display in confidence by the coaches to end the half....

I'd bet many were ticked and not because of the booing.

I can't speak for the ISU players but there were multiple times I ran off the field very ****** at our coaching staff.

That's rich. You're calling someone else classless. Did you even read what you wrote to Stewo?

You bring that into this? I stand right by her on that topic.

The topic at hand. I may not boo but I voice displeasure. ..especially at home and do my best to make sure they can hear me from 400 miles away.

The part that really made me mad about the people booing is that it wasn't that bad of a decision. Sure you don't want to waste an opportunity, but you also don't want to keep digging the hole you are in. I completely understand disagreeing with the decision, but you have to acknowledge that getting into the locker room and ripping into the players to regroup and come out better in the second half is an acceptable decision.

That is on top of my opinion that you never boo your own team. After the game you can voice your displeasure with things, but during the game booing isn't ever going to change anything for the positive.

I think people have every right to boo the coaching staff. Those guys all have accepted high profile, high paying public jobs and should not be above scrutiny. I also don't think you need years of experience to know the difference between attempting to score and not attempting to score. I'm pretty sure you don't need to be the ghost of Vince Lomardi to figure that out.

Now, booing players, that I don't like. It'd be different if we were booing same after he overthrew a deep ball or something. That I never heard.

It is the right of fans to boo, but that doesn't mean it's a good idea. I certainly can't think of a way booing a coach would serve the common good.

Typical ISU football fans....If things don't go our way we leave at 1/2 time.

I know this football team SUCKS mega big time but, Its still our team.....
This fanbase has given 110% for the product we have been given the last few years. No where could you find a fanbase holding on to the little results we have seen.

It's still our team but I can enjoy OUR team at from the parking lot while enjoying a 2h full of beers. I can hear the siren go off perfectly fine from our lot to know there's something worth cheering about. Why pay as much money as we pay, sit in the stadium for 4 quarters of A@@ whooping and be ****** off and have no fun? To me, the gameday experience is about having fun.

I have fun tailgating before the game
I have fun getting into the stadium for players entering the field
I have fun standing and clapping for the hero of the game
I have fun standing and clapping for the kid hero of the game
I have fun drinking beer in the parking lot with friends and family for the 2nd half

If you're at a movie and its unbearable to watch you surely don't stick around and continue watching whether your favorite actors in it or not its still unbearable to watch.

If you were there to cheer the movie on it would have performed better.

So the Michigan fans that were boo-ing the fact that the seemingly concussed QB was still on the field...what about them, should they STFU or GTFO?

The only thing that I booed was all the zebra no calls..... We beat ourselves a lot in this game, but along with that the Big12 refs beat us a little more.....
