That would look awesome. I don't know how much it would cost, but it would look 100x better than faded bleachers. Take Louisville for example. How about new plastic seats that don't need repainted
Hey Goothrey, can you duplicate the south endzone on the north side in place of the Jacobson Building? Maybe have a grass hillside in the space opposite the South Club directly behind the North Goalpost, similar to Texas Tech but wider. That'd put capacity at 64k (not counting grassy knoll).
I don't know how you 'finish' the NEZ without major alterations to Jacobsen. It is like it was designed without any consideration of tying in aesthetically with the seating configuration of the Stadium.
Don't plastic seats fade, too?
Red poly seats outside would fade like crazy. Nothing fades faster than red tones. Check out the red poly bumpers on older cars or a fire hydrant. Basic outdoor colors 101.
No sure about all of the "repaint" talk for the benches. Aren't they color anodized aluminium? Not sure how you can recolor them short of some expensive prep and traditional paint.
There's enough room in front of the Jacobsen that the stadium could be enclosed, but it wouldn't be that many seats.

Not sure why the Jacobson gets so much hate. Looks fine imo.

I agree with you. People are getting upset over nothing. If anything Jacobson looks much nicer than our actual stadium. I love JTS but concrete pillars scream 1970s to me. Very few things from that era don't look completely dated.
