That's probably more accident than design. When we admitted ND as a state, American leaders did actually believe that Canada would naturally end up as part of the nation.

The invasion thing never worked out, but we did think that Canadians were going to join the U.S. at any time.

Hey you guys dont have to rip the whole state of North Dakota. We are not all ignorant and short sighted. I like it here in North Dakota. I wont go into the reasons why, unless you really care. We are all fans of teams that are close to us for one reason or another. 95% of use would probably have a good laugh an a beer together, before and after each game. I know some smack talk is part of the game.. but there is no sense in generalizing everyone into one category. Example.. right now you guys are 3 degrees warme than us.. I dont think that makes us Antartica.
