4th Street Moon by Stephen Kellogg is about Cedar Falls. Well, not about it but written there after a gig at The Hub which is on 4th Street.
It's a really good song.

My buddy and I put this together last weekend. He's obviously a professional video/photographer (ISU Grad). Based on a 45 RPM record I owned. We did it just for something fun to do...
That's a good one! He also mentions Eldon, Ottumwa, Mt. Pleasant and Burlington in the song. The drummer is wearing a Case iH t-shirt so he must be in the red zone. The sax player does a heck of a job. What's a "floater"?
Fairfield was home to Fairfield College which was taken over by Maharishi University http://www.mum.edu/ in the '70's (I think). The school made Transcendental Meditation part of its curriculum. In a trance practitioners claimed to levitate..."float"...in reality they hopped around on wrestling mats. "Floaters" made national news and added whimsy to the school, Fairfield and Iowa.

It was Parsons College. And whimsy? Yeah.... Probably not the word I'd use.
Bob Seger.
On a long and lonesome highway, east of Omaha.

This doesn’t specifically say Iowa, but Hailey is very proud of being Iowan, and this whole album is about growing up in eastern Iowa. This song is a total banger too.
