This can't be real.

Hahaha this might be one of my favorite posts from Lakes of all time. Definitely top 3.Mickeys, Sips or project 20/20 have been in contact with my appearance. Which would you recommend friday night?
Sounds like the Bison have been pretty banged up. Starting linebacker Esley Thorton has been dealing with a sore groin, Zach Vraa suffered a conclusion a couple weeks ago, Trevor Gebhart (wr) has had a sore hamstring and Crockett has been banged up in camp.
not sure if serious. ...
wait, so as a fan of NDSU and all of our success.... Im a JERK if i even remotely THINK that we can compete in the big 12 ?? seriously?
(pretty sure if NDSU was in the big 12, we'd have 22 more full ride scholarship players that we'd beat out iowa state, minnesota, iowa for, thus having more of an advantage over those said squads)

sucks to be high huh.
Okay, let me break it down for Lakes and the rest of the Bison fans:
1. After ISU wins, nobody will bat an eye. National media will not give the story two minutes, as no one cares about an FBS school beating an FCS school. We'll go into another 3-4 NATIONALLY televised games while NDSU will wallow in obscurity the rest of the year. NDSU will try to get to the FCS NC game, but might trip for a second time against UNI. ISU will continue on to try to get to a bowl game (which will probably still get higher TV ratings than the FCS NC game).
2. IF NDSU happens to win, again, nobody will bat an eye outside of NDSU, as it will not be as big an upset as the win over KSU. The national media will not give a crap. ISU will still go on to it's NATIONALLY televised 3-4 games and still try to get to a bowl game. NDSU might still get to an FCS NC game and try to become 4-time king of the nobodies.
Either way, NDSU will remain in obscurity all season long and go back to playing games televised on ESPN8 (the Ocho). Bison fans need this game more than we do. This is their superbowl. To us, just one more game on the schedule. We have bigger fish to fry (Texas, OU, Baylor, KSU).
Rant over...
ndsu honestly has way more to lose in this game.
the great thing about being an iowa state fan is when you win; there is a complete meltdown for the opposing teams fan base; ISU winning a game pisses people off real bad.
Troll, lol. I've been going to games since before you were probably born. There's 239 pages of fans feeding into lake bison's trolling. He's a die hard fan who lives for getting everyone's panties in a bind.
We need this game more than you? Yikes. What do Iowa State fans hope for in a season? A bowl game right? If you lose to an FCS team at home that is replacing 7 of 9 starters on the lines, has a new QB, and mostly new coaching staff, why even bother following the rest of the year. You lose to NDSU at home you have ZERO chance of a bowl game. While it is just one more game on the schedule, for a team that is trying to get to six wins for a bowl. While its true that you probably don't get much benefit out of win, wouldn't a loss be devasting to any assessment of the state of the program. I mean, this is your coach's 6th year, you are apparently loaded on offense, and you don't care if you lose to an FCS team at home for the 2nd year in a row?
While the FCS is unquestionably well below FBS in national sports relevance, it is nonetheless important to the fans of the teams in the FCS. If NDSU loses to ISU it would certainly be disappointing, but NDSU could still have a very successful FCS season. As you assert, NDSU will remain essentially in obscurity nationally either way. So how do we have more to lose?
That's not exactly great. It means that people perceive our program as one that completely stinks. It's hard to find a "great" in that.
Iowa State clearly has more to lose, as it is a no win situation. A Big 12 program that loses to teams like NDSU two years in a row is not healthy and would be looking at a coaching change in the not so distant future. For ISU it is the easiest game of the year, it is a must win game in a no win situation.
Have you heard how many years in a row Toledo has beat an FBS team?Easier than Toledo?
