How many times were you guys on espn2 or espn or fox sports 1 last year? I actually have no idea just wondering.

Also, this whole time argument is stupid- NDSU would not be on FS1 if they weren't playing iowa state or a big 12 school, but Iowa state would not be on FS1 if they were playing a different fcs team- UNI or another FBS non conference game, like Toledo. the 11 am Sat start vs 7 pm Friday night prime time reflects NDSU > Northern Iowa, Kansas St > Iowa State. That's it. Not NDSU > Iowa St.

FS1 - 7 times
ESPN - 1 time
ESPNU - 1 time
Fox Regional - 2 times

I was going to crack a joke, but really, it's understandable that fans of an FCS team don't quite get television contracts. I know that sounds bad, but I truly don't mean it. I don't think any FCS school has a tv contract, at least not that's conference affiliated.

As for Lakes, congrats on having two basketball games televised in a tournament where every single game is televised.

Yeah, but theirs were on TBS/CBS. The losers play on TruTV...

This gets said so many times and I just don't get it. So many people are in denial that our defense was horrendous last year. For 1, last year for T.O.P. the Iowa State offense was on the field on average 2 min 18 seconds more per game than the defense (28:51 to 31:09). These are D1 athletes that are in top shape. The whole tired excuse is super lame.
I disagree wholeheartedly.

I hate to go against the grain, but I actually know for a fact that this game made airtime due to the NDSU brand. If not for the KState game last year it would not have made the air regardless. So everyone just chill..

Guys. He knows for a FACT. Thank God for the almighty Bison brand for gracing our team with it's presence.

lol. I think you are trolling but I need to set you straight just in case you are serious. The Big 12 has a TV contract with ESPN and Fox that every single Big 12 game, including non-conference, is televised on their family of networks. The only exception is each school can retain the rights to one game which they can televise on their own network (IE Cyclones.tv) which ISU selected the Tulsa game for. Sorry to burst your bubble but ISU vs NDSU is on FS1 because of ISU and the Big 12, not NDSU.

You think he's trolling, I think whether intentional or not, JV fans don't know that all big boy games are on real TV, not just the 'big ones'.

Yeah, because Iowa State needs NDSU to make tv.

I think he means he big12 would not have signed a new tv contract if ndsu was not on ISU's schedule. So, yay, we saved the big12!

LB likes to tout the oil. However I know many in Ag that live in North Dakota and South Dakota. The congestion that oil is having on the rail system is killing grain prices in the Dakotas because they can't secure rail space. They are having to haul by truck to places as far away as Blair. The basis in North Dakota is more than 3x then what we have right now due to oil rail congestion. They got oil but they are killing their farm economy. Reports are also showing that people who run cow/calf herds close to oil fields are seeing their fertility rates drop from around 80-85% to 50% due to stressed cattle from around the clock oil field activity.

There are people making money off oil. But there are many that don't live within 100 miles of an oil field that are suffering serious negative economic impacts because of it.

3300+ posts and this is far and away the best trash talk I've seen from either side. Suck it, Dakotas!

I just shake my head, at half his posts. Sorry, but basketball games mean squat in a football thread. The fact people are talking about what the Fox television managment decides is beyond me.

Anyways, someone please help me and talk about something relavant to the game being played on the field and not stupid sheet!
