YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SWEEP IT UP!

I've given blood a few times. Obviously not afraid of needles, but don't like seeing the needle sticking out of my skin. I usually ask for a gauze pad to cover the needle while I'm sitting there. I also seem to give blood quickly, where the nurses checking on me are saying "Wow, you're almost finished!"

The one problem I had giving was after they supposedly got me situated, it felt more painful than usual. I voiced my discomfort, and they readjust the needle saying "Oh! Looks like we nicked the back of your vein." I guess the blood started to coagulate in my arm, because they couldn't get the tubes for testing after I gave the pint. Grrr. Gave a whole pint of blood, and it couldn't be donated to someone.

*Gross generalization warning* You know how everyone that doesn't watch soccer felt they had to be extremely vocal about their distaste, dislike, or even hate for the sport during the World Cup? That's how I feel about NASCAR and car racing in general. *End gross generalization*

There, I've said my peace about it and I'm through.

piece, not peace.

it's boring if you are new and don't have a driver to follow. I don't watch Indy or F1 and couldn't care less about it. But if you try just following one driver for a race, it allows to pick out the strategies and see how much things change through a race. I used to be a "but they just turn left" person. So I get that it's not for everyone, but yeah, it's incredibly annoying when people say things like that and go out of their way to jump into those threads just to bash it. It just shows you how little they know about it.

The young girlfriend is dragging me to a concert by one of the old Mickey Mouse Club dudes. I guess this guy was on the Voice too.

I need a lot of alcohol.....quickly!!!

I understand that NASCAR can be quite boring. Heck, I think some of the races are a snooze fest. The best part of the sport though is the strategy and the car's setup. If a driver says he is loose then they adjust one part, if the driver says the car is tight, they adjust something else. The science behind a lot of it is quite interesting.

And like cowgirl said, it is better when you follow a driver or two.
