Carl! You're the boss! I've never lost an unemployment case my entire career. It's not hard to find and document real reasons for termination.

I'm not the boss anymore...my choice...and that's one of the reasons. I'm not talking about getting sued or unemployment as the reasons I couldn't make heads roll.

Ah, I see. Mine generally know it's nothing personal with me. Just business. And the as long as they don't do me wrong, I'll fight tooth and nail for them against the higher ups.

Nah, people love working for me because I leave them alone. I don't micromanage. And I let them blow off steam as long as work is done. Just don't make push come to shove and do your job, that's all.

that's pretty much how my boss is. I told her that today, that he not micromanaging is a super good thing. And why things went so smoothly when she was out on baby leave. Cause we knew what to do and got it done. Mostly. Instead of being like, where is my helicopter parent. I think I'm the first person (well, now there's like 6) she managed so I try to give good feedback because I know she wants to know how she's doing.

HR sounds like whores. I am tied to a bonus for my extra work (which is already done) over the next couple years, so that's cool. Made it slightly more worth the shiz I put up with. I hope you are a good boss. I'd go to the moon for my current manager. Being a good manager is good. Don't be a bad manager. Then they don't like you. And they talk about your baby pineapples.
HR's are generally as good as the HR director lets them be. Two of my sisters have been directors for multiple companies so I've heard many horror stories over the years. In general, they end up being lawsuit shields and adult babysitters.

My brothers mock them and call them insurance salesmen.

they look out for the company, not you. There's one person in there who I would trust, but the rest are newer/not stationed in the US so I'm pretty leery of the group overall.

Not having them on site presents a whole new monster. Too easy to lose the H in HR that way.

When I get together with my sisters, it usually takes about half an hour to break through their facade before they start talking to me like siblings. I almost have to slap the PC out of them.

Quick rush hour traffic fact. In. Hawaii there's Likelike Highway. It's not pronounced like the word like, though. It's "leak-ay. But the Hawaiian word like (leak-ay) is Hawaiian for the word "same". So Likelike (leak-ay,leak-ay) meaning same same, is a roundabout way of saying like like in English.

I just poured more. What do you want a random pic of?

Pantsky and Carltch?

That sounds like some sort of skin disorder that might be caused by exposure to the actual Carl. Hey, double ought, you don't look right, you okay? Well, I went to see the in-laws last weekend, picked up the carltch again. Got some hydrocortisone cream, I should be good in a few days.
