I Facebook searched my last name. There were way more profiles with my last name than I thought, very surprising.

About a week ago, a friend asked me about something I put on pinterest. One small problem...I'm not ON pinterest. Or Linked in. Or My Space. Or Twitter. I did a search on my name, and there are at least 15 people with my name out there. Not identity thieves...real people...I looked through their stuff. It's kind of weird to be, because the spelling of my first & last name are not super common (like Mary Smith, or Jane Brown). And here I always thought I was an original!

I have never met anyone else with my name. All my Google results (maiden name or married) are mine. No hiding if I do badly on the interwebs someday, I guess!

There is a Nobel Prize winner with my last name. Tis very strange to see that pop up online. It's an odd last name so I do have people ask me if we're related. To the best of my knowledge we're not.

I had googled my name less than a month ago, and only myself showed up. (At least in America) Just googled again, and there's another one of me.

Weird.

Edit: The other person with my name lives in Canada.

I am the only one with my name that shows up, and there was a thing a while back where you could map your last name...yeah, pretty much all in eastern Iowa, none outside the US.

There are three people in the US that have my same first and last name. According to Facebook, ones a super nerd term. Then one is world famous in the equine world. Then there's super awesome totes good looking me.

When I google my name, I myself don't come up at all. Which is nice. However, doctors and singers of the same or very similar names come up, and it makes me feel like I haven't done anything with my life.
